The left wing media has invested so much time, effort, money and credibility in the "Russians are coming, the Russians are coming" that they won't report any news which goes against that narrative. Their hatred of their president, Donald Trump, has destroyed any credibility the liberal media ever had. And the left will continue to bash Fox as being dishonest.

The below Tweet is from Facebook's vice president of ads.

The Left colluded with the Russians to undermine confidence in the election results, and they have both failed miserably.

If this VP had come out and said a majority of the ads were purchased BEFORE the election this thread would be filled with comments about Trump being a traitor, colluding with the Russians, Putin's puppet, and so on. But since Mika and Joe won't be on the air until Monday, then I guess the left will remain silent until they're told what to think and that's assuming Mika and Joe will even cover this story which they won't.

If the OIG report clears Trump, I wonder just what they're going to do? Release some more "according to an unnamed source that doesn't exist" libel garbage?

Another talking point of the left exploding in their faces.

I swear, I think Trump holds onto this stuff and just brings it up again so the liberals can keep hanging themselves.

He is playing them like a fiddle.

Mueller has nothing on Trump, because the charges were always baseless. The big issue now is the illegal spying on Americans by the Obama DOJ and FBI. These are the same guys who obstructed justice in the Hillary investigation and then colluded with a foreign national smear Trump, and then to attempt to completely hobble his presidency.

Mueller's hitting the end of the trail.

Last October, Facebook reported that 44 percent of the views the Russian ads received occurred before Election Day. But that’s not the whole picture, either, since Facebook has calculated that, with the help of unpaid posts, as many as 126 million Americans saw content pushed by Russian operatives, whereas only around 10 million are estimated to have seen the paid ads.

Indeed, buying ads was only one of the ways Russian operatives used Facebook and Instagram to accomplish their aims. On Saturday, the New York Timeshighlighted how Facebook was the “digital instrument of choice” for the Russian effort, explaining how the Mueller indictment “detailed how the Russians repeatedly turned to Facebook and Instagram, often using stolen identities to pose as Americans, to sow discord among the electorate by creating Facebook groups, distributing divisive ads and posting inflammatory images.”

Rob GoldmanOVICH is more like it.

He probably has a villa in Macedonia, and makes vodka in his bathtub.

    I smell collusion...

If you ask any leftist if they'd be politically swayed by a Facebook ad they'd laugh in your face..."ha ha, I'm way too smart for that", they'd scoff.

their entire 'influence' narrative proves beyond any reasonable doubt what they think about your intelligence, good citizen.

Liberals are not driven by their intellect as they proclaim from the highest peaks, they’re driven by emotion and typically those emotions are intolerance and hate. These are the people who need safe spaces when they see a Trump bumper sticker yet react to conservative speakers with violent protests, looting and arson. They hate Trump so much they’re willing to embrace North Korea because Trump said mean things about them.

Do I think much of our electorate? Not really, we were given a choice of Donald Trump and HRC. That's the capability of America's electorate. But that being said, I don't think our electorate is dumb enough to fall for the laughable quality of the facebook/instragram ads and such. I'm actually going to do a whole post on this topic, to elaborate on how unlikely it is that Americans voted with the information posted by the Russians in mind.

I think both liberals (aka closet conservatives) and regular/out conservatives exhibit this kind of irrationality.

But I appreciate that out conservatives are honest about their prejudices and such; fewer games. :)

He has a lot of interesting things to say. Things you clearly need to read.

We are also taking aggressive steps to prevent this sort of meddling in the future by requiring verification of political advertisers and by making all ads on the platform visible to anyone who cares to examine them.

Russia-linked bots are promoting pro-gun messages on Twitter in an attempt to sow discord in the aftermath of the Florida school shooting, monitoring groups say http://cnn.it/2odDQwj

There are easy ways to fight this. Disinformation is ineffective against a well educated citizenry. Finland, Sweden and Holland have all taught digital literacy and critical thinking about misinformation to great effect.

    [IMG] Rob Goldman‏ @robjective Feb 16

The Russian campaign is ongoing. Just last week saw news that Russian spies attempted to sell a fake video of Trump with a hooker to the NSA. US officials cut off the deal because they were wary of being entangled in a Russian plot to create discord.

    [IMG] Rob Goldman‏ @robjective Feb 16

The single best demonstration of Russia's true motives is the Houston anti-islamic protest. Americans were literally puppeted into the streets by trolls who organized both the sides of protest.

    [IMG] Rob Goldman‏ @robjective Feb 16

The main goal of the Russian propaganda and misinformation effort is to divide America by using our institutions, like free speech and social media, against us. It has stoked fear and hatred amongst Americans. It is working incredibly well. We are quite divided as a nation.

Most of the coverage of Russian meddling involves their attempt to effect the outcome of the 2016 US election. I have seen all of the Russian ads and I can say very definitively that swaying the election was *NOT* the main goal.

      [IMG] Rob Goldman‏ @robjective Feb 16

Very excited to see the Mueller indictment today. We shared Russian ads with Congress, Mueller and the American people to help the public understand how the Russians abused our system. Still, there are keys facts about the Russian actions that are still not well understood.

I did see those Tweets, but I’m not sure how that changes the fact that most of the ads came after the election and the media is silent about it.

Given what else you've said in this thread, you're clearly taking that tweet out of context and attempting to support some silly divisive narrative and attack against your fellow Americans with it. His criticism of the media, while accurate, is not meant to attack "liberal media" the way you're doing. What you're doing only contributes to the Russian efforts to divide our nation and sow discord.

I voted, it doesn’t matter for who. But according to what’s been released even voting for a specific candidate means I was doing Russia’s bidding.

Your enemy was never Russia, it was always Donald Trump. You saw DT and Russia as 'joint to the hip' and you still do: Despite all evidence to the contrary. You're helping Putin achieve his goals. Try helping Trump achieve his and Making America Great.

They gladly picked up and ran with anything they viewed as politically profitable. They still are.
