No need to apologise as I don't speak German but I provided a link to the translation of the original speech in the German article published by Pressesportal.de which shows that the OP is wrong.

She said exactly that - what do you mean?

"Rooms" in context means "places". What are you misunderstanding? It's as categoric a statement as there can be: there shouldn't be such places, but there are and we have to name them.

Granted, I'm not bothered about our swarthy brethren leaving Europe. Only those entering.

I think people are misreading the statement - the garbled Google translation "rooms" is weird enough to be confusing. There's nothing actually unclear in what she said. Of course, she's only saying it as a desperate response to the threat of the AFD.

If you are referring to American equivalents to the no go zones in Germany, Sweden, France, etc. I wonder if you can point them out.

To be sure there areas that are ghettoized (the Richmond/Berkeley/Oakland corridor is one I'm familiar with). But to claim that even law enforcement will not enter....I don't think so.

There aren't any areas in Europe where law enforcement won't enter and Fenton Lum did not say that there were any in the US either.

There are and the documentation is plentiful.
And you could be right about Fenton Lum because his post was so poorly written I'm not certain what it said though I believe, based on context, he said there were no go zones in the US.

No-go means basically a shithole, not that noone actually goes there. That would obviously be impossible, since that being the case they'd be deserted and noone would have any reason not to go there, LOL. Other than lonliness.

She clearly does. I don't know where this parallel universe sprung from, but read the quote:

Punctuation and Google machine translation is imperfect. Slightly cleaned up:

Native German here. Yes, your translation appears to be correct, based on the German text posted on PressPortal.de. That text is, however, only an excerpt of the interview. It would be important to look at the whole interview to see the context. For example, from the excerpt it is not clear if Merkel talked about generally dangerous areas, which exist in any country, or if the comment was explicitly targeted at immigrants.

When I lived in Germany a long time ago, near Frankfurt, one would generally not go near the main train station at night, because that is the red light district with lots of pick pockets and other minor crime. Is that then a no-go area? I don't know.

Sounds more like this is right wing fake news. She did not say it. And they just had elections. The AFD won't be part of the government for an other 4 more years.

SECOND WORST GERMAN CHANCELLOR EVER: Merkel says Germany has ‘no-go areas;’ gov’t won’t say where. “The notion there are places in Germany outsiders — including police — can’t visit has previously been dismissed by officials.”

Merkel forever has destroyed Germany. The German culture is gone. Indigenous Germans are headed to all but full extinction. Most Germans probably are in denial of this, but birth rates make it inevitable. Germany - like virtually all of Western Europe - as an historic culture is destined to extinction and instead will become states of the Empire of Islam. Simple math makes it inevitable, just like historic California culture is destined to extinction - much already there.

When Hitler ran things in Germany, they just killed the groups they didn't like. Now they shrink in fear from those groups. Germany knows no moderation.

Disarmament in many areas of western Europe removed removed the idea of self protection and thus self preservation. The government is expected to do everything and when the government fails, as is commonplace in much of Europe, the result is chaos and bloodshed. That will likely come within the next decade.

Optimists say it might take as long as 30 years before an inter European war begins, but it seems inevitable..

It was actually the photo i found fascinating. Yes, leftists want the government to make everything fair and thus they are easily exploited by corrupt politicians who will tell them, like children, what they want to hear. This used to be more commonplace in the Third World but it's been introduced gradually into the first world with great success, particularly in their efforts at dumbing down society.

What the left are too stupid to understand is that the more extreme they are, the more extreme the right becomes. And it's an irony of modern life that, as opposed to before, today's left are more intolerant than the right, which of course makes them what they always accuse the right of being - namely bigots. Is that weird or what?

Merkel is form the CONSERVATIVE party, CDU, FYI.

That hasn't prevented the disinformed, just like yourself, from spreading fake news that she is some sort of lefty, or, worse, commie.

She never said there are areas the police can't go to. Plus, she recently received the most popular voted AGAIN in elections for the FOURTH time. So, it seems the Germans disagree with you.

She did not say what? She acknowledged no-go zones and said something had to be done.
