"During her appearance in India over the weekend, Clinton claimed she lost the 2016 presidential race in part because white women didn’t stand up to the men in their lives pressuring them to vote for Donald Trump.

“We do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton said at a conference in Mumbai, India. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”"

    .....

""I won the places that represent two-thirds of America's gross domestic product,” Clinton said. “So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, 'Make America Great Again,' was looking backwards."

She claimed Trump’s message to voters was: “You know, you didn't like black people getting rights, you don't like women, you know, getting jobs. You don't want, you know, to see that Indian American succeeding more than you are.”"

I can't help but wonder why Hillary continues to run with this hateful rhetoric, when it seemed to backfire so much on her in 2016. Does this really appeal to some of her supporters? (There are some of you here on this board -- do you agree with this tactic?)

I'm a successful, college graduate, business-owning, 40 yr old, white woman. I'm a registered Independent.

I supported Hillary in 2008. When she lost the nomination, I voted for Obama. By 2012, you couldn't have gotten me to vote for Obama again by putting a gun to my head.

In 2016 at first I had some optimism that we might see the Hillary of 2008. Instead, along came an angry Hillary who seemed more like Obama 2.0 -- from the policies to the hateful divisiveness. I voted for Trump.

In Hillary's zest to appeal to her far-left fringe supporters and her huge California voting block, it's almost like she's becoming increasingly offensive.

First there's the idea that white Republican women must be told how to vote by their husbands and brothers, which is insulting and unproven.

Then there's Hillary's implication that her supporters are somehow what - better? richer? (better because they are richer?) Seriously, what was the point of bringing up the GDP of the areas where she has her strongest support? Are hard-working middle-class red-state folks apparently unworthy? Is this a new spin on "deplorables"?

And then there is the idiotic implication that Republicans don't want blacks to vote and don't want women to work. Since when? Does she conveniently forget the Republican Party had black presidential nominees, or the high-level women working under Trump?

Is this the direction the Democrats are going to take? Are they going to stay this course? What do you all think, good idea? Bad idea? Will it be successful? Is it just Hillary being bitter and possibly losing her mind?

And does anyone wonder in the back of their minds if Hillary is considering having another go at politics? What else is the point of this type of speeches?

    Thoughts?

A lot of White Women voted against Hillary simply because they didn't like Hillary.

And outside of a husband filling out their wife's absentee ballot, there is a privacy in the voting booth that allows wives to make their own decision.

    Hillary LOST.

She needs to get lost and stay lost.

    Next. :bored:

Over 11.5 thousand posts and you finally make one that's sensible and I agree with.

I don't know what to say. It just shows no one is irredeemable.

What? Slowly, take off the tin foil hat... Or do you think Trump arranged for her to go to India and had her speech written for her?

Wow, she is still stuck in the denial stage. She really needs to move on to the other stages of Grief. Anger is next and then bargaining , depression and finally acceptance.

Was this a new excuse on her list, or did she just drag out an oldy-but-goody?

Since she hasn't gotten any 'pressure' from a man in a while one can sort of forget her. Oh, screw that she's bat feces crazy.

Distraction is the point; this entire power structure runs on it.

She should focus more on how she is going to walk down her next flight of stairs than about how she lost the 2016 election. This is just sad(yet funny) at this point.

But Hillary is still "actually happening". She's still making speeches, she's still representing Democrats (would you disagree?), she's still finding audiences and support with her divisive rhetoric, and one can't help but wonder if the DNC is going to dust her off one last time for another run at some office. For these reasons she's not really as irrelevant or ancient history as some might think (or wish.)

So what Hillary is saying is that women are so weak minded that they do whatever the big, bad, mean, strong men in their lives tell them to do.

It might be possible she is under hypnosis and her words and actions are directed to help the republican party. Because she is.

I wish she would retire to being a grandma. But as long as she keeps opening her fat yap, she is fair game. She just wants to keep her band of victim followers believing they are still victims.

“We don’t do well with white married women.”
Why in hell do you suppose that is?

The democrats devote their lives to making sure men can use the womens' bathrooms - in schools and in public spaces - then they wonder why they've lost so many white suburban moms.

Maybe because they are no different than white married men who do not feel good about having a lying, scheming, scandal-ridden criminal in high offices who sounds like a robot when she speaks and doesn’t like Christian or family values.
