Back in the mid 80's when I was 6 years old, my best friend next door would come over and me, him, and my sister (7 years old) would run into my parent's closet and anxiously look up at the attic through a crack in the attic access door forever it seemed. No, I watch some US broadcasts and news thanks to satellite TV. Sure, you're a big country, but 90% of the news is purely American internal stuff and the remaining 10% is often only when it comes to the US, like when "mad midget" in NK has a fart again.

Anyway ... that the judgments of Righty and Lefty, as well as terms such as Liberal in terms of meaning between the US and my country are very different, that's what I learned here quickly.
Funny is, for example, that liberal in the US for the Righties is a kind of dirty word because evil left, etc. ... in my country, it is rather the other way around. Continue fighting against Christianity in schools or public places but are just fine with fighting for the rights of Muslims to not only preach their religion in our schools but also allow them time and places where they can pray as well. All the while allowing Muslims to follow the barbaric laws of their homeland rather than those of the U.S. one of which is forcing women to wear Hi·Jabs. This while claiming to be for women's rights.

4. Why they totally believe in double standards and anything goes including committing felonies and even treason if it's for the purpose of getting THEM elected to office.
