Not likely, we'd be at war with Russia if Hillary was elected, her hostility was outrageous and couldn't have resulted in anything resembling peace...
WTF, "creating discord". Open your eyes! The discord began the moment the Republican Convention declared Trump their champion. He himself was surprised at his own victory. Putin has won! The ONLY way forward is to return our government to some semblance of normalcy, not the continual Twitter ramblings of this fool who degrades every institution of our government.
It's apparently customary: President Obama made a similar call on March 9, 2012. “President Obama called Russian President-elect and Prime Minister Putin to congratulate him on his recent victory in the Russian Presidential election,” the Obama White House said in a statement late that Friday. “President Obama highlighted achievements in U.S.-Russia relations over the past three years with President Medvedev, including cooperation on Afghanistan, the conclusion and ratification of the START agreement, Russia’s recent invitation to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) and cooperation on Iran. President Obama and President-Elect Putin agreed that the successful reset in relations should be built upon during the coming years.” https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/03/barack-obama-vladimir-putin-congratulatory-call-2012/ Why should Trump be antagonistic? He's got an ace that is about to give Putin a big headache and Vladi knows it. When dealing from strength you can afford to be nice. On the other hand, Obama dealt Putin an ace and was caught dealing the US a 2 of diamonds from the bottom of the deck. Remember what he told Medvedev in his open mic moment? So we were committed to unilaterally disarming. What did that do for Putin's view of the US?
Ha! I can just see an ICBM descending through the atmosphere towards Moscow with "Congratulations, Putin!" spray painted onto it.
"I am currently trending on both Twitter and Facebook. Why? Because Americans want more than warmongers and fools," Stein tweeted. "Despite Hillary's penchant for flip-flopping rhetoric, she's spent decades serving the causes of the Wall Street, war, & Walmart economy." AP, Who's Jill Stein? Googlers are asking, and the answer is: Clinton's new problem, Alexander Panetta, 7/13/16. http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/who-s-j...the-answer-is-clinton-s-new-problem-1.2985936
By all means, impeach him over a flimsy technicality and we'll see how that works out. The #Resistance is an unwitting agent of not only sowing discord but possibly causing the greatest crisis in American History.
if 66% of all Senators vote to remove Trump from office, you can be damned sure he did something bad.
If so, that's good and well. But if impeachment is used as a spiteful political tool instead of a remedy of last resort, we can all kiss this country goodbye regardless of party affiliation. Then we're exactly like the Russians. And that'd be their greatest victory of all.
He did do something bad. He won. I don't remember the last time Democrats accepted the results of an election they lost. That's just the nature of the beast. The only reason Obama won in 2012 was that he invaded the privacy of millions of Americans with the help of his shills in Social media. The current 'scandal' pales in comparison to Obama's unconstitutional abuses.
Russia has managed an economic recovery from its post-Soviet low, but politically it's still dwelling in the distant past thanks to Tsar Vladimir. His generation will die out, however, and his efforts to alienate Russia from the west out of spite and resentment will hopefully die with it.
Right? Who cares if the president makes nice with a murderous dictator who handily manipulates public elections, in effect legitimizing his undemocratic actions and his government's wanton murder of foreign citizens on foreign soil. Just as long as he's pissing off "the left." That's all that counts in the end.
In his phone call to the Russian President, Trump was warned by his national security team, DO NOT CONGRATULATE! Yes, the message was in caps and placed where he would, or should, have seen it. Trump congratulated Putin. The Hill writes, "A furor erupted at the White House on Wednesday over a damaging leak that revealed President Trump defied his aides’ advice during a congratulatory phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "The White House raised the prospect of a staff purge over the disclosure, saying in a statement that it would be a “fireable offense and likely illegal” to give Trump’s briefing papers to the news media." There have been countless leaks from the White House. Clearly, members of his staff do not respect Trump. From Trump on down there appears to be mass hysteria in the White House.
Eh. Still a 3rd world country with a 1st world military. Read the tea leaves. The UK sanctioned Russia. The UK imports natural gas from Russia. Now what does May know that many onlookers don't? Hint: 3 letters. The same 3 letters that made Trump decide that Putin is no threat worth antagonizing.
Does that include a head of state who eliminates his competition, conducts a sham election, has interfered in our election, and continues to interfere in our elections? It is true. Both Bush and Obama congratulated Putin. That was before Putin's aggression against Ukraine, before Putin assisted Bashar al-Assad in the murdering of 500,000 Syrians, before Putin's attempt to assassinate a Russian and his daughter in the U.K., before Putin assassinated another Russian in the U.K., and before Putin's interference in our election on Trump's behalf, which explains why Trump never is critical of Putin.
It was Obama who disarmed Ukraine so Putin could march in. It was Obama who promised Ukraine we would protect them if they destroyed their weapons. And, it was Obama who watched as Putin marched in and annexed Crimea. That aside, the only reason Putin has protected Assad is that keeping Assad in power means keeping the Saudis from building a pipeline to Europe to compete with Russian exports. Trump can be conciliatory because he is about to help put Putin out of the gas supply business in Europe. Look at a map of Gazprom pipelines sometime. You might gain a new appreciation for Trump. You don't have to like him and you never will, but he is a maestro.
Dickhead obama congratulated Putin for winning an election and there was no criticism by the same who are whining about Trump.
What ludicrous hogwash! No, it's not just a mere technicality. It is a body of evidence that grows greater by the day. Not once has he said a bad word about Putin. The very fact he bragged to the Russian ambassador about his firing of Comey is proof positive of where his loyalties rest, and it isn't in the USA. That you cannot see these and other incidents as testament to a troubling trait of this president is proof positive of a cult-like worship that would never fly with any other president in US history.
