    What neighborhood was he in?

    A terrorist is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. You wasted much of your life, because a terrorist pursues political aims with their violence. I can tell you've eaten up the political bias towards whites that labels them a terrorist if they commit violence near a black.

    The OP's article says it was the FBI who were chasing and first on scene but all the local reporters are crediting the local police.

    The word terrorism has sadly been used as predicted for political motives, but I do want to return the word to its original usage meaning: Anyone who would act to terrorize a population, and no doubt the population of Austin and most of Texas was on high alert.

    What do you think the FBI should have done that they didn't? They were given information and, AFAIK, passed that info to local authorities. Why you mad at the FBI and Broward County? Didn't they even stop and question Cruz a few times?

    OK, Max, here's what the FBI themselves said about their 'performance' in Florida -- in THEIR own words:

    February 16, 2018
    FBI Statement on the Shooting in Parkland, Florida
    On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

    Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.

    We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

    FBI Director Christopher Wray said:

    “We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.

    “We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy. All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it.”

    Mr. Creep's name was Mark Anthony Conditt. You can probably read all about him until he drops below the threshold of public interest in about ten days. One wonders if the rabid gun-grabber crowd will start raising hell that all ingredients that were used in Mr. Creep's bombs should be made forbidden for the public to buy legally. :police:

    The FBI already investigated the 'facts' that you had an inquiry about, Max, if you were paying attention. I don't know what you expect for them to come up with later that can overcome the impact of what the FBI has already admitted to in its official statement. But, go ahead and hold your breath if you want to. I'd suggest giving up the effort after your face turns a bright, azure BLUE....
