ICYMI, there are no 'races'. We all share the same genetics. It's biology 101.

    livescience

Basically, we are all the same. All people, no matter where they are from, share the same DNA.

Racists, your beliefs are based on a lie. It would be nice if you changed your ways.

If we are all the same why are some of us white and some of us black then?

There are genes that have evolved in geographic regions. However, there are more similarities than differences in people all over the planet. Also, there is no specific gene or set of genes in human DNA that defines a person as a certain race. We are all the same.

In other words, if you examine one's DNA, you could not determine their 'race'.

And yet forensic anthropologists can tell a person's race simply from the nose hole in the skull.

"Caucasian nose holes are triangular, Negroid’s square, and Mongoloid’s diamond-shaped."

As someone once wrote, a wolf and a basset hound share the same DNA, but they react very differently to a pat on the head.

If race is a social construct then why can we tell albino blacks from whites instantly then?

    https://www.google.fr/search?client...-ab..0.4.322...0i13k1j0i13i30k1.0.5P9mTxplvtU

The trick of race deniers is that they say that genetic differences between populations exist but are small (which is true), that they're not big enough to be different subspecies (also true), but then they tell us their buzzword "race is a social construct" which directly contradicts what they just said.

Because if there are measurable group genetic differences between populations, however small, then race has a biological basis. So it's not a social construct.

Why do some have red hair and others have brown?

Humans and chimpanzees share DNA also. However, like the wolf and dog scenario, we are not the same species. So, your analogy is irrelevant.

As to the differences in physical characteristics of people from different geographies, that does not change the fact that we are all still genetically similar and there is no gene that determines race.

Again, scientists can not determine race by examining DNA.

If some are going to discriminate against people for the shade of their skin, why not discriminate against people because of their orange hair, orange faces, and undersized hands? Perhaps people like that could be denied the right to vote, let alone hold high public office. After all, the "small genetic differences" also determine hair color, height, size of ears, shape of face, etc. People who think skin tone to be a big deal usually do not feel that way about the other aspects of our makeup determined by "small genetic differences."

There is a strong tendency among closed-minded people to divide us into tribes and then adapt a "us vs them" mentality. This can be based on skin color, religion, nationality, political leanings, or even the sports team that someone backs.

If you believe that "they" are different from "us," you are probably a closed-minded person and holding yourself back from the richer experiences of life.

Strawman. I never advocated for discrimination, and I'm against it. Liberals are the only people who support discrimination these days ("affirmative action", "diversity policies").

I oppose reality denial and ideologically driven pseudoscience, which is not the same thing.

Reality doesn't care about your ideological views. Signalling virtue against "bigotry" while providing no real world evidence for your opinion is the textbook definition of pseudoscience.

You went way off the handle for no good reason "Sad!" I didn't refer to your post or even read it. I didn't even know that your had written one, and to this moment, if you did write one, I have no idea what it says.

Nor did I use the word "bigotry." Why would you pick me to sound off to about "liberals?" Does the fact that I am not a racist cause you to think that I am a liberal? In your opinion, is everyone who is not racist a liberal?

Did you perhaps confuse my post with one written by someone else, or did you just fail to read mine? Your response seems to have almost no relationship to my post.

My questions are rhetorical. There is no need to respond to them. I will not be reading any more of your posts.

HEres the facts. You COULD create folks that exhibit traits, JUST LIKE ANIMAL HUSBANDRY. Cept for one thing, humans don't follow the mating rules well at all.

We do not allow nature to cull the herd of humans, although the right wing wants to. They WANT the weak so called humans to die, or get busy, either one.

The right wing IS interested in cranking back up eugenics, if not phrenology.

You quoted my post. So you quote people's posts without reading them? Wow.

Oh please. Direct quote from you : "you are probably a closed-minded person".

"race is a social construct" is liberal ideology. Also, you are a liberal, anyone can see that by looking at your post history.

And no, the belief that races exist does not make one a racist. Maybe you should look up the definition of racism in the dictionary.

Race is just another form of class. It is a system designed by social pseudo-scientists. Really, it is a way to create legal inequality so that one group can maintain their power. In other words, race was invented as a way to legitimize slavery and discrimination. That is the pseudo science.

The actual biological science is that there is no genetic difference between individuals of various racial classifications.

Imagine a flow of genetic diversity around the planet that took place over tens of thousands of years with homo sapiens marrying neanderthals and denisovans.

    Hold up.

The only eugenics lately have been those of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. That is on the left.

Um....why is there diversity if we are all the same?

You can't be the same and diverse at the same time.

Again, imagine the human genome flowing across space and time evolving over tens of thousands of years. You get diversity this way. However, we all still have in us our ancestors DNA. Does it make sense now?

There are more genetic similarities than differences between humans and mice, too...but that doesn't make the differences less significant.
