Actually the stupidity of the arrest and the resulting business impact is well understood by most of us. Got to be the bonehead publicity more of the year.

You don't make a statement and then leave the burden of proof to anyone who disputes it.

Yes indeed the clerk was force to call in the police and the police was force not to exercise common sense and arrested them.

Pure set up assuming that the clerk and the police officers and the other customers who record the event and question the reason for the arrest was all in on it.

 

It doesn't take much to precipitate an incident and frankly I see more coming

Sorry but their coffee is only so so beside being over price and can not compare to my local Cuban shop.

The Cuban shop offer better cheaper coffee and wifi with beautiful latin women to talk to between surfing the net and drinking the coffee.

 

I've had it before when traveling and didn't think much of it. I don't have one anywhere near me though. Actually, there are no coffee shops near me. We make our own.

 

Sporting Goods stores and restaurants with limited seating are the same to you.........that's funny, I don't care who you are....

 

LOL if they had tight and limited seating why the hell would they offer open wifi as there is nothing like wifi to slow the turn over down.

I knew one JAVA programmer who would go to starbucks just to have people around and would slowly drink coffee and program for hours on end.

 

But he was drinking coffee. And if he was like the programmers I knew, more than one cup.

 

So if he had 3 coffees, he spent at least $25.

 

True he was drinking coffee but slowly very slowly as he needed to do given the hours he spend at Starbucks IE they was not coming near to having him paid for their overhead,

The cops had the opportunity to defuse the incident by talking the Starbucks people into not pushing for an arrest.

The incident demonstrated the depth and extent of underlying racism in the USA.

The fact that the detainees were held for 9 hours despite no charge is evidence of racism by the police.
