Why is the right afraid of Comey, and why do they fixate on Hillary?

Let's define two terms here, from Merriam Webster to open the thread:
Fixation: an obsessive interest in or feeling about someone or something.
Intimidation:
Fear: be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening.

No one cares about Hillary, even the most disillusioned leftist since Election Night who rather have her over Trump has gotten over the loss. So, why are conservatives, in the light of the bombshells around Cohen, trying to bring Hillary up again, or any vanquished/irrelevant staff from the Obama Administration? If you ask any American, they may say what Hillary did is distasteful, and are glad she's gone. But that's the end of it. What's also gone? The "Lock Her Up" and "Hillary For Prison" t-shirts, that disappeared as quick as the "I'm With Her" bumper stickers.

The evidence is stockpiling against Trump, and looking at both the definitions of fixation and fear above, it explains why the right is fixating on Hillary, a lever in their brain switching from the debunked fake news allegation to the former SOS. Then you get Comey. Read any retort from conservatives, they see James Comey as a public enemy. Behind Clinton and Obama, its Comey. No concrete argument has been stacked against Comey, with a few leaked transcripts from his book being spun as evidence against him (could the leaker possibly be in the rights favor?). What the right was accusing the left of in 2016: Supporting corruption, is now what the right is doing in 2018. It's a complete 180. I ask those who are right of center why they are afraid of Comey? They may deflect or dodge, but won't answer the question.

I've been asking that same question since Comey was fired, and yet have to get an actual answer to the question.

She wrote her thesis about radical left politics.

She called the women who were raped by her husband "bimbos". She mocked them. Then she claimed credit for beginning the "Me, too" stuff.

She broke several laws about safeguarding our top secret information and didn't go to jail.

She tried to force socialized medicine down our throats in 1993.

She has disdain for traditional American values.

If Trump was so "smart", he would have known what a bad decision it was to run for POTUS. It's hurting his bottom line, which of course would explain all the percolating corruption leaks we see coming out of the White House.

Why is Trump important?

The fixation Hillary Clinton by Trumpers, she is one of a very few seen in a less favorable light than Trump by most Americans. According to an NBC/WSJ survey this month, Trump favorable rating among all Americans is at 35%, Hillary's 27%.

The fact Hillary makes Trump look good probably has a lot to do with it. It's also a fact come this November Hillary isn't on the ballot to rescue Trump and the Republican congress from what now looks like a blue wave headed this way.

Comey is seen positive by 22% of all Americans, but those Americans who see him negatively is only 20%. Most have no idea who Comey is and trying to paint him as the devil isn't do the GOP or Trump any good. Not for the upcoming midterms anyway. Compare Comey's negative rating of 20% to Trump's 53% or Hillary Clinton's 52%, there is no contest there.

Comey doesn't generate a negative reaction from most Americans like both Hillary and Trump do. So the Trumpers have to keep Hillary alive.

 

What "existential threat to our democracy" would that be?

 

Yes, Obama and Hillary are all that.

The possibility that he wanted to be President because he thought he could do something good for this country doesn't occur to you? The fact that he knew he would have to turn over the operation of his businesses to other people doesn't occur to you? The possibility that he knew his worth would fluctuate doesn't occur to you?
