Isn't it convenient that the FBI "cleared" this guy? How many of these "cleared" social bombs have the FBI left us with? How many times does the FBI have to so publicly fail to get the reform they so desperately need?

One gun law that could have helped is that if a person is banned from owning a gun in one state (as in this case) the ban also applies to other states.

Sure there was. There were several laws broken including indecent exposure.

Why would you hope they catch him alive? That means tens of millions in appeals, he gets all the satisfaction of being dragged through a media cycle which is constantly shifting the blame to the NRA and citizen gun owners, he gets fan mail from all over the country, etc.

If he dies by his own hand he dies a defeated man, cowering in the dirt like he should. And he will soon be forgotten. Plus tens of millions of dollars are unpillaged from the taxpayer.

Seems like a win for all to me (except the perp).

Liberal progressives were thrown out of office in 2016 yet they still continue with their garbage. The American people do not believe more gun laws are needed.

Only idiots think that indecent exposure is a gun crime. Are you an idiot?

As for the father not committing a crime due to Tennesses's gun friendly laws, perhaps you should argue with Nashville Police Chief Steve Anderson. So I'll repeat his statement once again to you:
"Police believe Reinking's father received the weapons after their confiscation, and returned them to his son. Nashville Police Chief Steve Anderson said he believes under Illinois law, guns seized can be returned to someone who has a valid state authorization.

Anderson said he was not immediately aware of any Tennessee law Reinking would have violated by possessing guns in Nashville.
    "

Anyone over 18 who doesn't have a criminal record can obtain a rifle and shoot someone provided they have:

    a) $200
    b) 28 days to wait.

    Here in Australia.

There are many incidents which are directly attributable to differences in US gun laws, this is not one of them.

If he lived in most any other country in the world he could have done the same. Europe is really rather permissive on guns. Germany has better hunting laws than us, the Czechs have concealed carry and so called military style semi-automatics, Norway is great for shooters.

This isn't something that should be viewed more politically than a shooting in Munich or Berlin.

The Vegas shooting, completely different issue. The Sutherland Springs shooting even more removed from the rest of the world (and received significantly less coverage despite the greater death toll, due to the political nature of defense by a citizen with an AR-15).

Baloney. You want to debate the most irrelevant part and then claim the whole idea is incorrect. Sad.

    Just look at another example:
    https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...-is-called-worlds-second-most-violent-country

Yet Mexico has strict gun laws:

    https://www.mexperience.com/mexicos-strict-gun-laws/

Just admit it, this gun control crap does not work.

Who focuses attention on the fact that this latest monster is a "White male"? Everyone who wants to vilify all White males, obviously. In the eyes of everyone who hates White males, we are the enemy -- every twist and manipulation of a tragedy to make us look horrible and despicable are fair game for them, in keeping with the general philosophy preached by Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, to never let a crisis go to waste! :hippie:

Local news reported it in Nashville. Said he'd been cleared by the FBI in 2017 from the previous incident of fence jumping at the whitehouse...

That's strange. I don't see any reference to Mexico anywhere in your post 242 about Honduras and Switzerland.

Your crap link that only idiots believe and continually post even after being shown many times how crap it is:
    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/dare-to-compare/
    http://www.politifact.com/punditfac...flawed-post-compares-honduras-switzerland-gu/

    Your claims:
    1. Honduras bans citizens from owning guns - WRONG
    2. Switzerland requires citizens to own guns - WRONG
    3. Switzerland has the Lowest homicide rate in the entire world - WRONG

The FBI requested local authorities to revoke his gun license and confiscate his guns. I am guessing that this would be noted in NICS for any background check on a new gun purchase. That sounds like they did as much as they could under the law.

Unfortunately there is no law that reasonably prevents a private sale or transfer. There really should be one.

Nine months ago, Reinking was arrested by the Secret Service and examined by the FBI: http://wtkr.com/2018/04/22/waffle-h...ret-service-for-trespassing-near-white-house/

Who knows which political party a psychopath like this is affiliated with? But, it can be fairly observed from his arrest in July 2017 that this idiot is no 'fan' of Donald Trump....

They returned the guns to his father with instructions that the father keep them away from his son. He didn't listen and gave the guns back to him.
