Why can't hunters be respectful?

why can't hunters be respectful of the animals that they kill?

why do they have to take selfies with them and dishonor the animals?

I have no problem with hunting for food, but you must field dress the animal yourself and eat the meat or donate the meat.

and you should respect the animal, and not use it for trophies or selfies or to make yourself look cool. If you're going to slaughter one of God's creatures you should at least show the thing some respect.

Sportfishing is a sport.
Sportfishermen are unlikely will be on food stamps. Meaning they are more likely not to be a Democrat sucking off the taxpayers.

It would have been better to show a white Hunter or fisherman posing with it's kill. The left is going to shy away from criticism of a black guy.

 

Most hunters ARE respectful and eat their kill....Human and otherwise. Trophy hunters are an entirely different story and hunt for fun and recognition.

I agree, hunters should be respectful. I do enjoy the human tradition of hunting. I do most of it with a bow and arrow. I understand how human predators fit in the scheme of wildlife management. I hunt for meat. I enjoy it. I enjoy the provision. I also enjoy observing wildlife. Those that hunt so they can brag about trophies do not appeal to me, and I'll leave it at that. Neither do those that use the latest technology to overcome an animals senses.

Supermarket meat comes from domestic farms. No hunting required. Farmers don't need to rassle with their cows and pigs lol.

 

Just a little bit of factual knowledge here. That man is not a hunter, he's a fisherman.

That said, I don't see anything disrespectful about the pictures. On the first he's trying to get a perspective of scale, on the second, he wants to show how the shark's mouth is.

To me the above is more respectful than this:

 

Most animals are armed. That rack on the buck deer is not there for show. Hogs have massive tusks (as do elephants).

 

So you'd rather hire the hitman than do it yourself. Morally, there is little difference between eating grocery store meat and killing deer for meet. (well, if anything, killing venison is more ethical, no farm and animal "slavery" involved).

 

We are a apex predator who's main weapon is our intellect and tool use. Does the lion choose not to use his claws so that the gazelle has a fighting chance? Of course not and we should not either. I bet if that shark had found that man in its natural environment he would not have hesitated to eat him. Or do you think the shark would choose to gum him to death so he would have a sporting chance?

 

If you think hunters aren't respectful you don't want to know what goes on in abattoirs.

The meat industry is appalling drove me to be a veggie for 7 years, but bacon drove me back again.
