Giuliani tried to control the narrative without releasing the tape or a transcript, and paint the contents as helpful to Trump. Most know he would have released the tape if it really was helpful to Trump. Had Giuliani not mentioned it, this would have never seen the light of day. It was marked privileged, so Mueller didn't even hear it.

It's probably easier to deal with another lie about adultery than for the Helsinki summit, or babies that still haven't been reunited with their parents, to dominate the news cycle.

 

Declaring a senate vote to be some sort of precedent is just nonsense. Constitution doesn’t say “high crimes and misdemeanors, except those you failed to impeach on previously” lol

Nobody has ever discussed impeaching Trump over sexual matters. They are only proof he is a lying scumbag but that doesn't rise to the level of impeachment.

 

It's the precedent for the Senate as to what offenses a President has to commit to be removed from office. Previous impeachments were cited in the House impeachment process.

Why should Trump be removed for far less serious matters having to do with sexual behavior, when he was not even a public official, when Clinton was not? Why should he be removed when Clinton was guilty of committing felonies having to do with it?

 

A false affidavit entered into a federal court is not a witch, it is prima facie evidence of perjury and obstruction of justice. Go study up on what the term means. And it was HANDED to him he wasn't and didn't hunt for it. Get your facts straight.

Fwiw, this was not approved to release to prosecutors. Which means prosecutors did not have, release or leak these recodings. Which means someone else did. Which is either cohen, or cohens lawyers, or trumps lawyers

Fwiw, guiliani says the recordings are exculpatory... so apparently thinks is a net positive for trump. Further the tapes leak removes one thing cohen could potentially testify to in order to earn a plea deal
