How the tax law is set up to benifit the wealthy and punish the middle class...

Nearly a two million dollar income and a 4 grand tax credit.
No wonder we will be back to trillion dollar deficits soon.

Anyone questioning why Trump had a change of heart on his tax returns, here’s probably the reason why.

    It's good to be successful.

    Envy will never change that.

    So?

Sounds like he is following the law.

You shouldn't be upset with him about that.

    He didn't write it.

I honestly can't be mad at someone who figures out how to keep more of what's theirs.

Illegal immigrants are more of a threat to this country than Kushner will ever be.

But don't let those facts get in the way of your whining.

But the underachievers on the left don't see it that way.

Doesn't seem fair that a guy who makes $200,000 will pay $50,000 in taxes while guys like Kushner and Trump use the system rigged by rich congressmen and senators to avoid paying their fair share. I wouldn't mind it if the income tax, the fed and the IRS were abolished tomorrow. Our present system was cooked up by rich people for rich people to make the people who actually work for a living carry the burden while they play their percentage swindle games.

How much taxes are generated as a result of the risk Kushner and the Present take?

As to fair share, if you recall Maddow's colossal embarrassment over the "Trump tax return", the President paid more in taxes as a percentage that President Obama.

The left needs to come up with a better whine that "pay their fair share", the envy and greed pouring from it just doesn't allow it to carry the message they keep hoping for.

Where did I indicate I was “upset” with him?

The law is flawed however, designed by the super rich to benifit he super rich.

I'm willing to bet Jared cushner as a tax guy who is responsible for his taxes. If there is a problem its the tax guy that is responsible.

Part of the plan. You should learn about property development. It's a risky, but potentially rewarding business. Benefits the community, generates good paying jobs, and produces mountains of taxes the government benefits from.

No one pays more taxes than they have to. No one. The entire CPA industry arose from, and is wholly reliant on that intrinsic component of human nature.

The system is rigged and has been since the Income tax, Fed and IRS were conceived early last century by mega rich barons. It has gotten continually worse since then...The numbers don't lie..

Income tax is the second plank in the Communist Manifesto...We should have shot it down before it got started in the sneaky slimy way it did...First they said it was a temporary way to pay for WWI and it was one percent....Now look at it...Full on Commie...

Absolutely I would, even billionaires that donate their entire fortunes to various charities use tax law to pay the minimum amount possible. It’s an unjust system when the people that run our government not only pay nothing on two million dollars of income but get credits back.

Of course the op was trying to do this but the typical partisan hacks have come in to justify this tax system as... almost noble... the same people that are against welfare for the poor that can barely feed themselves.

Do you think it’s a fair system where a billionaire pays less than zero in federal tax?

I'd like to see a flat tax, or sales tax only system. And yes, I'm okay with social welfare, provided it be designed in a manner which seeks to economically rehabilitate it's recipients. I'm okay with the idea of social security in principal, but the funds should be completely off limits for any other purpose, and people should have the option to invest the "withheld %" as they see fit, or just let it accumulate. I'd like to see the things our taxes pay for reduced to the greatest extent possible... yep... starting with the military.
