When will the conservative's faux outrage machine turn its eyes towards the Leader of the Free World cheering on an assault of a journalist by a GOP Congressman?

What's sad isn't Trump's behavior (we are used to continuing new lows set by him), but rather the fans behind him cheering him on. It's like a circus show where any morality is thrown out for brain-dead cheer-leading.

The actual quotes, for anyone interested in context:

"Never wrestle him. Any guy that can do a body slam, he's my kind of guy."

"We endorsed Greg very early, but I had heard that he had body slammed a reporter. And he was way up, and I said, and this was the day of the election or just before -- 'This is terrible, he's going to lose the election.' And then I said, 'Wait a minute, I know Montana pretty well. I think it might help him.' And it did. He's a great guy. Tough cookie."

Thank you! Context doesn't really paint a different picture, however.

This is terrible, he's going to lose the election.'

    Also
When you make a mistake you have to own up to it, that's the Montana way," he said, after initial laughter among his supporters as he began to speak about the incident.
Last night I made a mistake, I took an action that I can't take back.
"I am not proud of what happened, I should not have responded in the way that I did, and I'm sorry," he said.

"I should not have treated that reporter that way, and for that I'm sorry Mr Ben Jacobs," he added.

Now go take a look at the random antifa asshat assaults random person thread and see the reactions.

This absolutely goes for both Left threads and Right, but isn't anyone else tired of attacking each other based on random "this makes me a better person?" threads over and over?

When I first started this forum, we spoke about actual issues at least 4 times as much as now. Quite sad what politics are now days, just people on the Right and Left trying to out virtue signal the other.

Immediately followed up by "And then I said, 'Wait a minute, I know Montana pretty well. I think it might help him.' And it did. He's a great guy. Tough cookie."

Uh... that's not Trump. So, how is it relevant?

Gianforte is a criminal. Its hilarious to see so many people call out Harris and other dems when gianforte actually assaulted someone.

Perhaps if conservative members of this forum didn't try to outright deny that this behavior exists on the right, there wouldn't be a pissing contest.

Thanks for admitting your thread is just a pissing contest..

Greg Gianforte apologized.. Your antifa fanboys love their violence and openly cheer it on that is the difference.. Now go crawl away.

The topic is Trump's rhetoric which cheered on Gianforte's behavior, not the apology of the Gianforte. That's a clear derailment attempt.

The guy is the topic as he is mentioned constantly in your own article this is you trying to play games instead of just admitting it and crawling away as advised.

Again, the topic of the conversation is TRUMP CHEERING ON THIS BEHAVIOR. You guys are desperate to try to paint this as somehow being a condemnation of Gianforte's behavior. What he did was awful, but Trump cheering on that behavior is awful too AND is the topic.

'This is terrible, he's going to lose the election

Your OP leaves that out i wonder why... Oh right you dont want to know what was actually said you want to rant...

Let me guess what he actually said is not on topic right?

Body slam is also mentioned constantly in the article, that doesn't mean that the topic of the conversation IS what a body slam is. Holy Christ.

Because that's a complete cherry picking of what he said to try to shift the meaning of what he said, that's probably why it wasn't included. By the way, saying that "this is terrible, he's going to lose the election" isn't even a condemnation, it's just a worry about how his behavior is affecting an election.

No leaving part of his conversation out is cherry picking.. Why did you leave it out? Because you wanted to rant.. You are looking to make both sides "equal".. Again pick a random antifa or activist thread and see what your fellow progressives are saying.. then again that would be looking at the mirror for you eh?

Leaving part of the conversation out isn't cherry picking. Selectively only including part of the speech to try to shift the meaning of what he said, which becomes clear when you look at the rest of the speech, is what cherry picking is. And it was left out because that's what the article writer chose to do. I didn't distinctively leave it out of the story.

Please point out any poster on this forum that has defended Antifa's violence. Because what you're doing is trying to defend what Trump said by red herring and cherry picking.
