If you don't want to be associated with the crimes of the past, then perhaps Conservatives should put more of an emphasis on distancing themselves from that history. The real racists were the white Southern Christian and Conservative democrats who actually owned the slaves and empowered themselves based upon their labor. If you want to romanticize those guys, then you do so at your own peril, unlike in the 19th Century, African Americans are not property and are not utterly oppressed, you may find many of them particularly the youth not very happy. There are people that don't want a solution to racism. Those people want to cling to their hate and try to use it as an excuse to build on their hate and racist attitude. Racists come in all colors. Is to stop trying to force people into categories. When I went school nearly everyone was Indian in my school. One of the years I was there I was the only white guy in my English class! It was a private school.

I never once thought of anyone by their skin colour although there's was a couple of people that hated whites there. They also hated the Hindu's and Sikh's so I wasn't alone.

I heard a lot of "racist" banter at school none of it was serious and I still keep in contact decades later with classmates.

One of the kids at the school joined ISIS in the end he didn't like people no one was surprised.

 

You know what's more like the KKK, the Confederacy. And it isnt racist to beat up a kid wearing the Confederate Flag, these boys don't go around beating up all white boys, they beat this particular one up because he wore a symbol which represented the enslavement of their forefathers. I also believe in the Right to say stupid things, but be careful if you're a racist or Nazi, you might get punched in the face these days. Perhaps you've forgotten that freedom is dangerous.

Hand cuffs are to detain individuals under arrest by law, the Confederate Flag being expressed shows open support for the historic regime in American history built on slavery. Cops don't carry cuffs to try and reflect the history of slavery in the South, but that is the intention of people who brandish that flag and it is the intent that gets these people into trouble with other's fists.

 

What an idiot, in the Confederacy he would have been regarded as Capital, someone else private property to be done with as they please. And he tattoos the Battle Flag on his arm. Once he gets an education outside of whatever bubble produced him, he will sorely regret that.

BS, to some it's "oppression" to others like myself, it's heritage. My first ancestor landed in the Carolinas in 1783.

He just looks at it as a flag. He should be educated that it is the Battle Flag of men who fought to secure the rights over their property, his ancestors. The principal runs an absolutely abhorent indoctrination facility, where people are taught the Battle Flag is their heritage. The American Flag is their heritage and the Confederate Tratiors tried to create a racist country that would have continued to enslave men like Spencer from birth had it not been for the Confederacy being defeated.
