If you accept the two post aren't equivalent, how can you demand that they must be treated in exactly the same way, either both unconditionally accepted or both leading to a ban? You can disagree with the treatment of each poster individually and even in comparison but if you're accepting to posts aren't he same, even if you has an opposite opinion on which is more serious, you need to account for that difference in assessing the legitimate response.

I'm not saying Twitter is right in not banning Farrakhan, only that pretending to two entirely different people engaging in entirely different behaviour must be treated exactly the same is irrational and that the "They did it too!" or "They're even worse!" are not valid defences for any bad behaviour. Loomer's defenders clearly believe her tweets are perfectly OK and so by presenting the direct equivalency, they're saying Farrakhan's tweets are perfectly OK too.

Again, I don't know that simple statement is calling all Jews termites. It could be along the lines of "I'm not anti-Muslim, just anti-terrorist". Maybe he did intend to attack all Jews but that interpretation would need to be further backed up before it was acted on. Loomer's tweet was clear and unconditional in it's attack on a named individual. Again, it isn't rational to expect the two very different tweets to automatically be treated in exactly the same way, even if they should ultimately lead to similar consequences.

I notice in the link to NBC News Loomer is labeled a far-right activist which is meant to prejudice the readers against her

What she wrote should not have gotten her banned

But when liberal mods with a lefty agenda run the show only one point of view is tolerated

Political beliefs are not a protected class, regardless of the service being offered.

I'm not so sure that they don't, or that Congress won't act in order that they follow the same laws as any public broadcaster and follow the rules accordingly.

There is not a great deal of difference between what Twitter and Google are doing and a public propaganda machine which has access to most every home in the country, and the world. This is a great deal of power for any ideology to have.

Then we have to ask ourselves if the First Amendment applies to companies like Twitter or Google, or any other mass media outlet. Many are saying No, I think the only answer is Yes.

And that is just plain wrong. Everyone should protest whenever this occurs.

This is false, twitter has a monopolist position along with FB, apple and google, and as such. they bear the same 1A requirements as the federal government, which is why they are about to lose several class action lawsuits like this one:

    https://pjmedia.com/trending/former...er-sues-apple-facebook-google-twitter-for-1b/

Loomer was banned for no reason, and will likely be the poster child for the destruction of twitter and its sc-mbag ceo jack dorsey, who deserves a fate worse than death, many times over.

I have to laugh at the psychotic far right claiming "jews control the media" but who scurry like the cockroaches they are when jews like her get banned by that same media. Too funny.

    Gab.ai

The problem is that its growth has been stunted by apple/google who have teamed up to keep it off of their mobile app stores, another anti-trust violation for which both will be crushed for.

The arguments are false. Apple, google, twitter, and FB are not public utilities. End of story.

    That is a problem, but...

The NPS MUST recognize free speech and protect it.

This includes Loomer's anti-Semitic ravings and attention whoring.

It's part of it, and must protect free speech.

Incredibly chilling that so many liberals trash the Constitution on this issue. :(

LOTS of conservative-dominated forums out there, yes.

    I'd say the majority, actually.

twitter/facebook, aka social media, are not 'news', by definition they are opinion/commentary of it's membership... get it? you have to join their 'club' in order to participate... anyone that relies on, or believes anything written on any social media, should have their right to vote removed ;)
