    Illegal!!!!!!!!

Come on in some cases a statement might be consider to be libelist an perhaps ground for a civil suit but it is not a criminal matter in any respect and therefore is not illegal in any manner.

footnote a website is not by federal law responsible even civilly for any statements of it users

Free speech MUST be protected in the NPS.

I find it VERY disturbing that so many liberals don't get this...

No - the NPS MUST be safe for speech.

notme does not know the laws if he thinks twitter's actions are illegal. And, in fact, Trump lies on a daily basis.

This is on Twitter's remit not ours to remediate.

    Bad argument.

The New Public Square must permit free speech, even when arguably defamatory.

I am not a liberal, just a centrist who understands that government cannot regulate free speech of media.

What come on? You can lose a lawsuit about defamation in the US, no problem.
And correct. The website is not responsible. Hence they removed it. I doubt they can keep this up after complaints show up.

That doesn't necessarily mean it's illegal or breaching twitter's own house rules. There is a fine line in saying somebody is an idiot, which is an opinion. And stating somebody is a is a convicted murderer, which could be fact that aint true.

Calling yourself an anti-termite... is that a (false) fact or opinion?
Calling somebody else a supporter of female mutilation... is that a (false) fact or opinion?

That is a cop out lazy answer. Twitter claims to be non bias. They say they don't ban people "based on ideology". They actually do.

So what? The TOS, LogNDog, allows the company to do that.

When the president uses Twitter to communicate with the People, it is, by default, a corner of the New Public Square.

Thus it MUST be a free speech zone.

No idea what difference it makes but she is Jewish.

"Loomer was raised in Arizona. She attended Mount Holyoke College and, after transferring schools, graduated from Barry University[6] with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.[7] She is Jewish.[8]"
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Loomer

Loomer, who described herself as a “conservative Jewish journalist,” was kicked off Twitter earlier this month after she tweeted that Minnesota Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar was “anti-Jewish” and “pro-Sharia.”

I am glad you agree with me that they are lying when they say they don't base their bans or suspensions on ideology. Of course they can but they say they do both based on ideology.

You should learn to use the forum software when you reply unless it's a way of trying to respond without someone knowing you responded.

    Fake news.
She wasn't banned on her ideology. She banned for what she put up on twitter.

Once more a civil suit have nothing to to with criminal matters and any statement of any kind is not a matter of criminal law short of threats to do harm.

Next website owners have to be careful in the amount of control they exercise concerning members postings or a court might find them responsible for those postings if they over do it.

Nonsense as the owners of Twitter are free to cut off anyone who is using their system including the President for any reason and at any time.

I don't care about the nitpicking difference between criminal and civil suits, because it remains to be: not legal.

Sorry but for any reason or no reason they can exercise control over their website and cut off the President if they wish to do so.
