I just said the exact opposite of that. Follow the constitution word for word and preschoolers can have guns. Now deny that or run away
Of course, that isn’t what I asked you, is it? Anyone else surprised Vegas dodges a question with another question? Hahahaha...
Again I have to explain to you how a conversation works. I asked you a question which you have failed to answer. Once you answer the question I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
The constitution is quite clear on the right to bear arms and I dont see where children are omitted from that right. Do you? Freedom baby. Merica
Are you really? Lol So where are children exempted from the second amendment? Is it the first part or the second part? Lol Freedom baby Merica
Yes I am. And I see you still won’t answer my question. Is there a particular reason you’re afraid to answer my question?
Ok. I am happy to give you my word I would answer it. You can even just give me the post number. I want yo be sure I answer it directly
My point is that such should not be the purview of government. We don't need laws to micromanage our lives; nor should we want them. When I was a child - a preschooler, if you will - my grandfather was already teaching me about safely coexisting with firearms. HE decided when he thought I was ready, based upon my behavior and level of maturity, for him to start teaching me. His father made the decision when it was right to start training him too. My grandfather also lived at a time when he was able to earn his own money and to walk into the local hardware store when he was a gradeschool boy and buy a gun of his very own, on his own, and then keep, carry, and use that firearm as he chose, and so long as he behaved responsibly no one gave it a second thought. In fact, his parents were proud of him for having the work ethic to pursue summer jobs and recycling cans and bottles to raise the money to buy that gun that he then responsibly owned. So, am I okay with children being around guns? You're darn right I am, and the world was a better place when it was commonplace. You didn't have school shootings back then, and children learned the value of working to earn what they wanted.
Will you run away from the fact that your claims are based in sarcasm and mockery? Or shall I simply go ahead and respond honestly in stating that we shouldn't need or want laws that micromanage every aspect of our lives, and that it should be up to the families to decide when a child is ready to be trained for responsible firearms ownership? You're right: follow the Constitution word for word and acknowledge the stated intent of the Founders and nowhere does it enable the government to dictate when or how a person becomes old enough to exercise their own rights.
Then if you follow it word for word a child can bring a gun to school. Every child can do so. That is the literal meaning of the constitution.
Lets see what your word is worth, but I'll bet you still don't answer the question in a straight forward manner, I really don't think it is possible for you to do such Post 254.
