If we are going to follow the constitution then I should be able to bring a machine gun on a plane and a rpg to the super bowl. Freedom baby. Merica
I just have to shake my head and laugh at this one. "IF we are going to follow the Constitution", as if there should be a reason not to. As if there are reasons why we shouldn't follow it; ignoring that if there were sufficient reason to change the Constitution the amendment process gives us the tools to do it. Instead, we are treated to rationalizations why the Constitution should be ignored or even dismissed outright. I don't know about anyone else, but I find that more than a little troubling.
I am agreeing with you. Clearly children should be allowed to carry guns at all times and I can show up in a courtroom armed to the teeth. In fact mental patients can have guns in the psych hospital. Freedom baby. Merica
that makes no sense-punishing people who HARM others is not infringing on any legitimate view of freedom. that is far different than making people who have not objectively harmed anyone unable to own certain types of guns, magazines, or unable to own normal capacity magazines. Forcing people to register weapons they own is infringing on freedom. Telling some mope that if he is packing heat when he forcibly rapes or robs someone will get him 4 more years in prison-that is not interfering with freedom.
I am for the right to bear arms. Especially recently. Never owned a gun but planning on getting a handgun and a rifle.
And your opinion that the pile of dead Americans in this country does not justify filling out a form. We ALL get THAT
Freedom includes property rights for private persons and entities. Therefore airlines and stadium owners could make rules on their own property excluding all sorts of behaviors classified as rights: bearing arms, dropping the f bomb or giving the finger or saying '**** the draft', getting a blow job, aborting a baby, taking a fat **** on the floor, that kind of thing. Whomp whomp you don't understand how rights work and we're all soooooooooooo totally shocked by that
My advice is to go to a range that sells two services: 1) range gun rentals and 2) shooters safety and training classes. Try a variety of guns. Find one that works for you. Then go to a gun show and find one MSRP or close to it, don't buy at the range they'll mark that **** up usually. Though you may find a good place who won't do that. Spend more on the training than you spend on the gun. Make sure to buy ammo and extra magazines, and a good holster.
When a gun law is passed, only law abiding citizens comply. Laws have no affect on murders. Here in Los Angeles, no CCWs are issued so only cops, politicians, judges, and criminals carry guns.
No reasonable person could extract that from my post. Laws are only good as our ability to enforce them. Should we disarm law enforcement?
