I don't see this as a 'tit for tat'. Regardless of whether the republicans behaved in a similar fashion or not, she was in the wrong and should be called out for it. Her spontaneous comment caused a stain on a diverse and exciting new group to join congress.

 

What bothers me is the double standard.

When Republicans Cheney, Trump, Coulter or whoever use profanities, I don't see anyone condemning their language and lack of civility. But once a Democrats does the same they are called out on the carpet. This happens every single time.

If we are to have "civility", let it begin with the Republicans getting forced to answer for their stupidity since they are the ones to always throw the first punch.

He would need to admit he ordered Cohen to make the payment AND did so knowing it was a violation of campaign finance law. Otherwise, even if they admit it was a campaign contribution, its just an administrative penalty, not a crime. Had Cohen advised Trump that what they were doing was against the law, that would of been included in his admission of guilt.
