If you're doing fine your not poor. Maybe not rich but your not poor. NOT doing fine is the definition of poor.

If you're basing that on some sort of government metric, that's on a baseline. I'm 'below' the poverty line myself but I'm doing better than paycheck to paycheck and live on lakefront property in Miami. I can hardly be called poor becuase my CoL is so far below the average.

No the rich (the greedy ****s screwing over the little guys to be clear, nothing wrong with being rich persay) are taking money from the labor of others. That's worse, at least anyone taxing from the tax pool contributes (tax cheats aside) to the same.

We are in similar financial situations. So how is it if I can live comfortably on less than $20,000 others can't?

The poor are getting poorer because they are like zoo animals who have forgotten how to feed themselves

The rich are busting ass and getting ahead in life while the poor are just hoping for a bigger government allowance

Because you got lucky. I pay $425/month, utilities included in Miami. How many opportunities like that exist in my area? 99.9% of the people in my financial situation living in the Miami metro area would be ****ed.

Which is fine if they pay reflect the profit they generate. Some employers are fair (and still rich), it's only the exploiters I take issue with.

In the area where I live many people would likely have incomes like mine but they don't know how to manage their money. They have too many vices. They end up taking dollars from taxpayers.

You can in no way substantiate that claim.

It would be hard to substantiate without quite an amount of research but I can tell you from personal experience it really does look that way.

Yes but most welfare recipients simply make less than a living wage but are well adjusted, law abiding citizens. The 'welfare queen', while they exist, is largely a boogeyman.

If I’m wrong then America must have highest number of mentally retarded and physically crippled people in history

What accounts for so many unable to function at a normsl level here in the richest country on earth?

Your fellow lib blames everything on the rich

But I dont buy that excuse

    huh?
tax policies designed to take money from the poor and middle class, and give it to the already wealthy.

nobody cares what you buy. the data is clear. Since Reagan ****ed the middle class and poor, the wealth in this nation has been transferred to the richest 1%.

I'm not sure how much clear I can be, or how much further it can be dumbed down. I showed you the wealth gap increasing exponentially after the Reagan trickle down revolution.

The gap was pretty steady under reagan and later bush

The dramatic rise in wealth by the rich began with clinton and free trade with china

Globalism is the enemy of the middle class

What you should want from government is equality, not fairness. Income redistribution is not an example of equality.

to utilize a 'ratio' properly, more things than just a 'percentage' need to be considered... taking 3000 away from someone that earns 30,000 would thrust them into poverty, but taking 1 million from someone that earns 10 million has no effect on their life other than one less bugati every year... same with fines for traffic violations,, it should be an algorithmic ratio based on 'effect' & effectiveness'... make it 'hurt' equally amongst all...

    You are mistaken

The middle class was doing ok before NAFTA and free trade with china

    Globalism is the problem
