Your argument based on the stats provided can be made but perhaps the difference lies between 'school teachers' and those educators involved in higher learning.

Cheers for doing the math for me, you saved me some work! Yes, to be honest I didn't realise how many of those countries had Christianity as the majority religion. I am quite shocked by these numbers, I'll be honest. However, if Christians in the West were practicing FGM where there is a more, developed and established Christian Institution, it would be quite a different story. Christianity came to these FGM countries centuries after the West. I also note, that the percentage of Muslims who practice FGM is ALWAYS higher than Christianity. What do you make of this?

 

One reason could be that Islam is right wing and conservative. Conservatives promote maintaining culture of their country. FGM is part of the ancient culture in some countries. It is generally right wing people who complain that immigrants are coming in and changing the culture of their country where as left wing folk tend to embrace different cultures

Get real. Inanna was the god of love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, justice, and political power of (among) the Sumerians,... and because of that a highly important one. They worshiped her in that area for something like 3000 years, that's around a 1000 years longer than the Christian God with his Jesus Christ and Moses.
