I'm not going anywhere and neither is our current health care system. As much as that hurts, you need to get used to it. If you want better than publically gifted health care........get a job and work for what I have. If you think the rest of us will work hard for you to have what we do..........keep dreaming.

Single payer is inevitably. Every decade this country moves to more and more social programs. Get on board or leave

Medicare for all would eliminate Medicaid, including any fraud.

I don't think you need a cite to know that.

Well if there is very little private insurance there is little room for fraud

This Medicare For All will be bad enough. If there is little or no private insurance things will only be worse. It may be called single payer but that payer will not pay for everything.

If you are poor the province covers it. If you are working usually your company will have insurance for those things. Even if you had to pay drugs are one third the price in canada. No one in canada declares medical bankruptcy

I understand when I make some posts people seem to think I am not a team player, that I don't care about my fellow man. Maybe I am being selfish but I have worked hard all my life to get where I am. I am by no means rich I have set myself up to survive my old age. Now I see this Medicare For All coming along and screwing things up. I have a feeling that my luck will place me in that group who makes just enough that I will have copays, have to pay for medications, have to pay more for my supplemental insurance, fall in a higher tax bracket when increases come to pay for this Medicare For All. Selfish? Maybe but if my family is not being taken care of in the way that I planned for, set up and saved for then how can I be benevolent?

There are already copays under the CURRENT Medicare system. You need to PURCHASE a SUPPLEMENTAL plan to pay for your medications under the current system that is EXPENSIVE thanks to the Bush/Cheney fiscal malfeasance DENYING Medicare the right to NEGOTIATE lower prices with Big Pharma.

The Single Payer Medicare for All will eliminate the shortcomings of the current Medicare system for seniors so you will actually be BETTER OFF by embracing these changes.

No, it's not the sole purpose, that is a foolish statement and well you know it. Individualized care is more efficient, more effective, and more humane.

So you would deny several industries the ability to earn a living, how very generous of you. I suppose with that point of view, you too should be prevented from earning a living also, because other people view YOU as extraneous, because the government could do what you do cheaper, I suppose.

Please don't try and decorate my statements with your suppositions. If I should agree with something you've said, I will say so.

I have no idea what you are talking about. There was a system before the ACA, unsatisfactory as you may have found it, and it included rules requiring hospitals to treat patients irrespective of ability to pay. There were also free clinics thanks to altruistic doctors and nurses. There were also charity hospitals, at least in my area.

To Kreo and Willreadmore, let's make a deal. Medicare for all in exchange for this:

Russia may fine ‘large waistlines’ in a bid to reduce obesity, copying Japan which instituted the practice a decade ago, according to Moscow’s health and consumer rights watchdog.

Japan made it illegal in 2008 for citizens between 40 and 74 years old to exceed the state-prescribed limit of 85 centimeters for male waistlines and 90 centimeters for female waistlines.

Now drop and give me 20.

I can’t believe you. Are you aware that it’s the Democrats who cut the deficits look at what Trump is doing and how high it is now. Tell me which waste fraud and abuse you were referring to?
