A lot of lies here. With the money they have banked they could and should spend more. Flat out lie, membership in 2018 was up by almost one million. Incorrect, in 2018 revenue for the NRA was up substantially, revenue to the ILA has also risen. In the past decade membership dues have almost doubled since I joined the NRA in 1989 dues have tripled. Hearsay and non-factual. Again they could afford to spend more but do not and their business model seems to be working just fine.
Actually NRA membership has drastically increased over the past few years. The NRA is Americana as Harley Davidsons, Winchester, U.S. Marine Corps, Ford F-150 pickups and cheeseburgers.
They should stick to their initial mission of promoting gun safety and get out of politics all together. Now that Rohrbacher and his Russian spy girlfriend have been exposed and banished maybe they will get back to what they are all about.
The original mission of the NRA was to train America's civilians in combat rifle marksmanship. What is the standard U.S. military service rifle today ? M-16's and M-4's.
It was the Marxist and the Democratic party who politicized guns. Here in the totalitarian hermit kingdom of California, Rep. Comrade Judy Chu, Sen. Kamala Harris and Sen. Feinstein have politicized horse racing calling for legislating outlawing horse racing.
I.am concerned that Australian trolls are freely posting on social media against American constitutional rights under the name of.public safety, while posting support for every abortion that can be committed. But, hey, I'm funny like that. I think citizens of.other countries should post on their own political soxial media platforms instead of spreading their leftist, baby murdering, gun grabbing doctrine on an American political board.
Yeah, I am equally 'funny like that,' after I saw a Documentary in which the NRA was shown to be trying to infiltrate into an Australian political party to water down our Australian guns laws. So, having seen that (in the last couple of weeks) the US position on guns is fair game to this 'citizen of another country,' so bite me. (I'm not buying into your, or anyone else's, abortion debate.)
They (the ILA) is not trying to infiltrate, they where invited to provide guidance advice and access to funding. Nothing wrong or illegal with that.
Such would not be a possibility, unless a significant portion of the population in the nation of Australia actually supported the message of the NRA, and was willing to elect a politician who presented such a message as their own. If such does come about, then it is merely the will of the people being exercised in a free election.
The story I read said the NRA was asked for help by aussie for ways to protect their gun rights. Was that incorrect, or are you just hyperventilating. And one of your "out" buddies can bite you, not my thing.
That's EXACTLY right. If the NRA wasn't politically active, Democrats wouldn't give a damn. It ain't about guns, it's about control. We will not and cannot be controlled, so their heads explode and "stuff" comes out. For the poster who says the NRA needs to get out of politics and concentrate on teaching in safety, I say "with what?" If not for the NRA, you wouldn't even be allowed a nerf gun......by law. Of course, they can pass a law, even a unconstitutional one, they have before. BUT, just passing a law is a long way from enforcing it.
On the NRA side of the house they have payroll, mortgage, publishing, sponsoring competition events, general business expenses (coffee for the employees') etc. On the ILA side they have payroll, publishing, lobbying, and political advertising. And despite what media and the anti-gunners claim, the ILA doesn't actually contribute much in the way of money to any political campaigns mostly due to FEC rules limiting the amount of money that can be legally contributed to campaigns.
Again if they did there would no reason to exist, the Democrats and their anti-gunner minions would have made illegal the private ownership of firearms in the U.S.
What, that’s Russian spy girl was hanging around at NRA events and sucking (literally) up to GOP fundraisers and politicians? No myth at all.
The myth is she had zero influence within the NRA, but don't try to explain that to the anti-gunners who believe there was collusion involved between the NRA and Russia, which there was none of.
