    This is as much fun as that thread posted on election day celebrating a Hillary win.

    Lately, most of these high profile "hate crimes" have proven to be hoaxes committed by Hillary supporters. Like the girl in the NY subway who said she was threatened, called names, had her hijab jerked off by three white Trump supporters - hoax. She has been arrested and charged. A website I follow has about a dozen of these that the MSM and libbies jumped all over to promulgate the narrative that have proven to be hoaxes.

    If that's actually how it went down then these people need to be imprisoned. Period. Vandalism is wrong no matter the message.

    That said, assuming this was a Trump supporter is faulty logic. It assumes that the only person with a motive to do this is on the right, when indeed the far left has shown themselves to routinely stage things like this (eg: someone tore my burqa off, Jussie Smollett, etc). Hoaxes do happen and given a wide variety of individuals on the far right and far left have a motive for this, we must withhold judgement until more information appears.

    Confirmation bias is a strong thing, Ronstar. I'm trusting you can overcome it

    I strongly disagree. Adding an additional penalty to the content of the speech is an abridgment of the freedom of speech. You should be charged with vandalism.

    Jurors deciding a case on hate crimes should nullify and always vote to acquit on that charge no matter the evidence, while voting guilty on vandalism.
