Shucks. Must have been a waste of time and money.

The testimony was different than the reporting, but the same result.

    Testimony of who?

Is this what you are referring to?:

"Corallo recalled that when he referred to the "document" on the call with the President, Hicks responded that only a few people had access to it and said "it will never get out.""

    Yes. That's it.
Did you go back and read the indictment on how they traced the Russians?

I remember somewhere in the report Mueller categorically states that Russia "perceived" it would be preferable for them that Trump win, but there's absolutely nothing in his report that says why this was "perceived" or any evidence such was the case. Also the description of the Russian meddling, its efficiency and effectiveness doesn't seem very well substantiated either.

Was it just me, or did any of you get the impression there was universal outrage among Democrats that anything in Mueller's report had been redacted, I think they've even issued a subpoena to get an unredacted version, but they don't want to read it? No comprendo.

The FBI was out to get Trump . They threw everything at the wall just hoping something would stick. Why? Cause they are biased against him and want him in office.
This is the definition of the deep state. Agencies within the executive branch operating apart from executive oversight.
Some of the stuff they have no legal basis to have.. it's called fishing

Putin made no secret of it. He said as much on stage with Trump.

If they wanted to do more fishing, why wouldn't they be lined up for a look at some of the redacted stuff? All 6 House Democrats authorized to see the newly unredacted portions should have been at the front of the line to 'fish' for something more.

I suppose so, but why wouldn't Mueller mention this? It would substantiate his claim to quote Putin saying "we perceived getting Trump elected would be more beneficial to us".

There are a couple of mentions of preference in the report.

It's probably not going to help him that he lied to them about not knowing what Mueller thought about his conclusion.

What do you think he said that showed that a Trump win was preferable for him?

Alright, and what does that have to do with the allegation that Trump deleted a line from Trump Jr's press statement?

    Indictment in the Mueller report?

He responded to a series of questions posed to him by the Mueller team, and deemed acceptable by his legal team, who helped him compose the answers. I don't know if I would call it an interview so much as an open book test, with your personal tutor sitting beside you, helping you pick out every word and proofreading your answer.

All of which is valid legal defensive tactics. If you or I were in a criminal case, we'd be smart enough to let our lawyers do the talking. Hell, I would've went further and had my lawyer submit the answers on my behalf. He's my effective spokesperson for all intents and purposes.

Absolutely. I am not suggesting it was nefarious or unethical, simply that its usefulness as a method to get much information is in doubt. I suppose it can pin down some very basic facts on dates, meetings etc where there might be some substantive documentation to be found on a discovery motion. there are times when even 'I don't recall' could come back to haunt. So it does serve as a foundation for mutually agreed upon facts.

Because when their bluff is called, they walk away in a huff and look for something else to cry about. Notice how they keep asking for the near impossible. They are just trying to keep their base angry and energized until Nov 2020 and deflect away from possible news that indictments might be coming their way soon.
