Trump hired Omorosa and The Mooch ... why should we take his hiring ability seriously at all.
Trump has had the highest number of staff members either be fired or quit because of ethics violations ... why should Trump's Cabinet appointments not be questioned.

I don't know if you saw the whole testimony by Carson, but he had a few moments, as Mununcin did, where he was being quite disrespectful towards congress. This seems to be a tactic of the Trump administration. Do what ever you want and treat congress with contempt.
