I was left with a feeling of encouragement that beneath the din of constant noise coming from the Carnival Barker-in-Chief, liars like Sister Sarah, sycophants like Steve Mnuchin, and propagandists like Faux, Rush, and Levin, there are still some members of what was the GOP who have not lost their minds. A Republican group is hand-delivering special counsel Robert Mueller's report to every lawmaker in its party on the heels of his first public remarks on the two-year Russia investigation.

Republicans for the Rule of Law announced Thursday it will deliver a copy of the report with highlighted sections to Republicans in Congress.

Donald Trump has been displaying disregard for the law through his entire adult life. That is how he was raised.

Traditionally, Repubs have had principled positions on small government, unfettered markets, and low taxes.

Trumpery is about any position the Bigot-in-Chief feels is expedient in order to garner votes. Followers of Trumpery likewise act in accordance with Don's whims, vigorously defending anything he does or says even if it's the opposite of what he said yesterday.

Trumpery is about self-preservation taking precedence over the rule of law, ethics, long standing norms. It doesn't recognize the existence of any guiding principle other than defeating and degrading the opposition.......any opposition.

 

Go ahead and pass out the Mueller report which has exonerated President Trump.

Some people have no respect for the Office of the Presidency. Constantly smearing him only further damages your own credibility. There was no exoneration on obstruction. There was no coup attempt. Anyone who believes otherwise is delusional.

 

Actually, it's unAmerican to refer to the constitutional process of removing a criminal from the Oval House as a coup.

 

Right wingers calling it a "coup attempt" shows how they want to suppress freedom of speech. When their fellow party members did it to Clinton nobody called it such. Instead, they allowed the process to work itself out. In the end, the Republicans lost thanks to votes made by Republican senators.

 

Something tells me you didn't read the report. It didn't "exonerate" Trump of anything. If anything Mueller hinted at obstruction of justice. He even said so in person to the press.

Conspiracy was the birther movement but many righties didn't seem to mind. There is no deep state in existence. Perhaps the next time a righty bring it up, I should recommend the thread to be relegated to the conspiracy theory forum?

Newsflash: AG Barr and Deputy AG Rosenstein say differently and they have the final say. What Mueller doesn't say is that the report doesn't say he did obstruct justice.

Wrong. The Special Counsel reports to the DOJ, not Congress. If Mueller thinks President Trump obstructed justice, why not come out and say so? No, he's a coward. That's why he said he can't say he didn't obstruct justice but what he refuses to say is that he can't say HE DID! That's just more left wing weasel speak to placate the Democrats and pretend he actually had something to investigate. This is why he's too much of a coward to go before Congress in public and answer questions. Question #1, when did you know there was no collusion? Answer, DAY ONE. Then why did it take 22 months? Because they wanted to try an manufacture an obstruction of justice charge.
