What does the above have to do with Gov't (be it Federal or State) being justified violating individual liberty of a woman on the basis of the "Potential" ? - other than Zero. Why are you talking about the Constitution as if it covers - or was ever intended to cover - all individual liberty ? The founding principles - as per the Declaration of Independence - that we are a republic - form the rules by which law and the constitution is to be interpreted. First you need to figure out what individual liberty is - then you will be able to talk about violation of liberty more intelligently.

ALL are the same, taxes are used for the citizens of the US...ALL of them.... State or federal taxes are supposed to support the welfare of it's citizens... What did you think taxes were for....to be put in the pockets of the wealthy? YOU brought up taxes, YOU. If paying taxes to support the country you live in is "socialism" then I'm all for socialism !!! Unlike Repubs I don't want everything handed to me for free !!!
It's called an analogy. The 10th Amendment covers individual and states rights & liberties. This is the point of republicanism. This is what is covered in the Bill of Rights.
This could have ended long ago if you had simply admitted that you were wrong and I hadn't said what YOU claimed I had said..
1) talking over posts is not a refutation to much 2) you have no real idea what you are talking about - The point of Republicanism with respect to individual liberty is that essential liberty is "Above" the legitimate authority of Gov't. Your claim with respect to the 10th amendment is gibberish. The question put to you was in relation to limitation of power - not just with respect to the Feds .. but to the States as well - or did you think a State should have unlimited power over its subjects ? The Declaration of Independence - and the definition of "republic" also applies to the states - as does the rights mentioned in the constitution.
I already explained it and you keep claiming I said something I didn't so just drop it because it's not important and continuing this hostility isn't productive.
I brought up the role of government. That was in the context of welfare spending. But once again, you just seem to want a fight rather than an on topic civil discussion.
