    Full title:

Mississippi gubernatorial candidate stands by refusal to allow female reporter to interview him alone, which she says is 'sexism'

The left creates an atmosphere where women can only be victims and once they claim to be victimized they must be believed. This candidate is playing defense against the offense which is constantly being played by the left which forces him to protect himself and in today's world that's call sexism.

Right now I could turn the tables on the female reporter and ash her why she so desperately wants to be alone with Foster.

    Yeah.

    It seems rather "old-fashioned".

    The Mike Pence Thing.

Anyway, this sort of 18th Century Puritan stance shouldn't hurt him that much in MS.

If people don't like it, they can vote for someone else.

    Problem solved.

What the article leaves out is that he asked the female reporter to make sure the male reporter she brings along is "smoking hot", "jacked", and "open to anything", but I don't want to read too much into that....

I would think one would rather be called sexist than have a false accusation leveled against them.

In the current #MeToo atmosphere, such restrictions on "alone time" are being utilized (in many business settings) to avoid even the possibility of "false accusations of inappropriate behavior".

There has been quite a bit of talk about how the #Me Too movement is actually hampering the career advancement of young business women (such as newly-minted Female MBAs hired at Fortune 500 companies).

The idea that an older male executive may not want to take on a younger female intern because of a work environment that could lead to "late nights" (and the possibility that the older male could be "falsely accused" of inappropriate behavior).

Raise your hand if you never saw the potential for #MeToo to blow up in our faces.

    What? Nobody?

A blind man could have seen this coming.

It's like all the other things the left pushes that blow up, things like hiring gays, trannys, Muslims, or any of the other special people who believe they have invisible rights which make them bulletproof in the work place, why would anyone expose themselves to the risks involved with hiring them?

Appears the female reporter is the one whining about this, what exactly is her argument for needing 'alone' time? Whining that something is sexist and actually defending one's actions are two different things. I think before anyone could take her side, she should justify why she needed to be alone in the first place, and wouldn't make the candidate weary anyway? Sounds like good policy or any male in any position of power these days...

Yeah, this has nothing to do with #MeToo and everything to do with religious fundamentalism (i.e., "Billy Graham rule").

What idiotic law say I have to spend time alone with a female other than my wife?

If I were a politician in this era of fake news I wouldn't want to be alone with any reporter regardless of their gender.

Its hard to keep up with their rules. Does this make him a racist!

But seriously, his decision appears to be wise as she is clearly just looking to cause damage.

Is he treating her differently than a male journalist? Yes? Then that would be sexism, would it not? Oh, and guys can accuse other guys, you know.

I am not very religious (but I am spiritual), but I would not put myself in a position where I am alone with a female, not my wife, for any great lengths of time.
