Only recently Trump considered Cain for the Fed.

What job are you talking about?

I don't think that makes you a racist.

Despite leftist determination to get this thread off track, the point originally raised is worthy of additional consideration in that, yes, essentially these Mexico First people are seemingly doing their utmost best to get Trump easily re-elected. Our leftists cheering for Mexicans who hate the United States are pretty much helping them help get Trump re-elected. It's a two-for win-win situation for Trump. Thanks leftists and your U.S. hating Mexican allies.

You're right, I've confused Herman Cain with Michael Steele.

That does make me racist, for the record.

It’s not racism. The Hispanic culture is part of Texas. Texas is a unique fusion of cultures: Southern, Southwestern, mainstream American (yankee), Hispanic, etc.

We love legal immigrants, regardless of nationality.

We hate illegal immigrants, regardless of nationality.

Try to find a true Florida cracker, they are few and far between. Florida has been taken over.

Wow, I wish I could say "mi hermano rican" but Latino Republicans are viewed as 'forasteros'.

1968 is ancient history, (and being ancient myself, I know). Politically only the last 30 years counts, unless it was something good

That was said by Santa Ana in the 1830's, yes?

Santa Ana invited Americans into a Mexican democracy. American Southerners took him up on that.

Then Santa Ana did away with the democracy, established a dictatorship, and Texans rebelled.

That disgraced cardinal? The one responsible for deliberately infusing California with pretty much openly gay Catholic priests? Thanks for the info.

El Presidente was a caudillo, the very archetype of the sort, from the get go, and he invited Americans in only to turn against them. Much like what happened to the DACA victims. though in the American's case the rebellion was really because Santa Ana wouldn't let them have slaves.

That's why I hesitated mentioning who the cardinal was but I can tell you that when Mahony preached at Mass it was pure Gospel. Unfortunately the sexual abuse scandal is what people remember.

What are the actual specific differences between assimilation and multiculturalism?

Whatever that is, we just had a GOP latino governor in NM. I realize those into identify politics aren't capable of independent thought. That is the hispanic 'patron' mentality, i.e. instead of taking personal responsibility they expect their patron Obama, Bill Richardson, whoever, to save them. Interesting as far as I know there is no word for 'entrepreneur' in Spanish, latin culture everywhere seems to be bureaucratic, controlled, and heavily regulated, even in Spain where my wife's family is from. A friend of mine went back to Spain after a long stay in the US, it took weeks for his electricity there to get turned on again.

Why did Obama repeal "wet foot dry foot" Cuban asylum provisions?
