Really? You're confused about how Ilhan Omar being an African refugee might contradict the notion that David Duke is a supporter of hers?

Let me explain it to you in simple terms, David Duke doesn't believe people like Ilhan Omar should be allowed into the country, not to mention being granted citizenship and holding public office, and he would never support the policies she supports on immigration and refugee intake for the United States. The supposed overlap between the two is in regards to the Israel and Palestine dispute, except Omar's position is a two state solution in which Israel and Palestine exist as two sovereign nations, and Duke's position is a "one state solution" in which neither Israel nor Palestine exist as sovereign countries, but the territory instead returns to the condition of being a colony of a western state. To say their positions are different would be an understatement, they are the opposite to one another

“They don’t love our country,” he said. “I think, in some cases, they hate our country. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell them to leave it.”

After Trump reeled off several controversial comments made by Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, including accusations in which he depicted her as sympathetic to Al Qaeda, his adoring admirers began to chant “Send her back.”

For thirteen long seconds, Trump listened to the chant, a smirking grin on his face, obviously proud he had caused the chorus from the massive crowd of mostly southerners. He did not say another word until the chant finally died down.

In a blatant lie, Trump told reporters he “started speaking very quickly” in an attempt to silence the rally attendees. He is on video with a shyt-eating grin on face listening to the chant for thirteen seconds until it dies out. How stupid can you be?

In another blatant lie that only his base could possibly believe, Trump casually said, "I didn't say that. They did."

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

If you're familiar with David Duke's behavior, his positions are far outside of the mainstream, but he attempts put himself in the mainstream by associating his positions with mainstream politicians. In the past he has also expressed support for statements made by figures such as Netanyahu, does that make him a Netanyahu supporter? not by a long shot

And likewise, while he expressed support for a statement that Ilhan Omar made about the lobbyist group known as AIPAC, to call him a supporter of Ilhan Omar is way off base. If it were up to him she wouldn't even live in the United States. If he expressed his support for her to get reelected, that would be different, then you could for sure use that to say he is a supporter of Ilhan Omar
