WE don’t put them in cages. They are HOUSED in detention facilities yes but the families are kept together they are given free health care and free legal aid.

That said I am NOT a fan of our immigration policies but we had to do something to stop the drownings caused by people smugglers

The pistols the cops have are also semiautomatic and mag fed. They fire rapidly as well.
Had his first victims been armed, he wouldn't have made it to the cops, notice they were the first armed resistance encountered and they put his ass down.

Had any of el Pasos been armed, hed be dead instead of photographed lounging in custody not getting his ass beat because he wasnt resisting arrest, and there would've been fewer casualties.

How would a DMV-type of license reduce the number of murders? All of these killers could easily demonstrate their ability to safely handle a firearm.

Look at the Massachusetts model. That state has consistently the lowest per capital firearm morbity and mortality.

It would do you some good to study the demographics of the states and cities. The answer to the Massachusetts situation may be discovered there. Seriously, if you are going to post about American crime, you should at least do us the courtesy of understanding how the population is dispersed and where the crime occurs. Look at the demographics of Massachusetts, and then look at the demographics of Louisiana, which is the state with the highest murder rate. You can continue with the second worst, second best, etc. Get back to us with the facts you discover if you care or dare to. Thanks.

I have been all over Massachusetts and into Louisiana a few times. Do you know who lives in the two states and causes a hell of a lot of murder?

I looked into it, and found a list. School shootings have long been a part of the culture apparently. Most were single homicide events. The VAST majority. Here are some of the more interesting ones:


August 16, 1856 Florence, Alabama 2 0 The schoolmaster warned students not to harm his tame sparrow, threatening death. One of the boys stepped on the bird and killed it. When the boy returned to school, the master took the boy into a private room and strangled him. The boy's father upon hearing what had happened went to the school and shot the schoolmaster dead.[4]

April 2, 1867 Madison, Florida 1 0 Frank Pope, a pupil at St. John's seminary, shot and killed his teacher Mr. Bristow.[9]

December 22, 1881 Shelby County, Indiana 0 0 School teacher Charles J. Gregory shot at a pupil at close range because he refused to write on a slate. The bullet missed the boy. The teacher was arrested.[20]

February 28, 1884 Danville, Virginia 0 2 As Allen Wamack, a 15-year-old boy, drove by an all black schoolhouse, he called out "school butter" (an insult meaning a cobbing, or a whipping).[25] The students came out and fired several shots at him; he shot back, hitting two students.[26]

September 11, 1909 McDonald County, Missouri 1 0 John Butram, a student at the Bear Hollow School, told his fellow students that school was cancelled. The teacher A.T. Kelly said it was not. When Butram drew a knife on his teacher, Kelly shot and killed him.[48]

February 3, 1915 Jasper, Florida 1 1 20-year-old Will Yates, teacher of Clear Pond school in Hamilton County, Florida, was shot and killed in a fight with Claude Holtzendorff and his two sons. The Holtzendorffs objected to one of the boys being whipped at school. When they showed up, Yates had armed himself. He shot the father through the mouth, and was fatally shot through the body, dying an hour later.[57]

So I learned that about half of all school shootings are by teachers. And if you are a teacher, do not spank someone else's kids, unless you are strapped.
Seriously, our ancestors were pretty hardcore.

tl;dr: most shootings at schools were single victim events. You can see a shift in the 1960's where some of the motives become things like robbery, or just suspicion. And the lists start getting longer in the 70's. In the 80's it seems like suicide became more common. The first of the events I saw plastered all over the news was in MS, in 1997. Since then, the casualties have gone way up and the number of incidents was trending up anyway. The geared up tactical last stand murder spree has become a semi regular thing since then.

Look at the Virginia Tech shooting, the guy stops after the first murders to change clothes and make some public statements with photos...he was managing his PR DURING the shooting. Half of these guys have manifestos like this event is what will make them interesting enough to listen to.
