I feel like the left is sliding so far to the extreme these days with racism and supremacies. Don’t like illegal immigration - racist. Criticize black politician - racist. Disagree with a black person - racist. White cop justified shooting of a black / Latino - racist. Disagree with reparations - racist. Since conservatives rely on constitution so much, I’m beginning to wonder - will mentioning 2nd amendment is going to become a sign of racism and white supremacy? Will mention of constitution is going to become racism soon? I wouldn’t be surprised to see these claims on CNN if trump wins again. They already had a massive meltdown back in 2016.
That's all pretty misleading.... and I hardly see the point of this thread........ but tell me, what would you consider racist?
Racism is an action that causes damage - refusal to hire, refusal to admit to educational institutions, refusal to sell goods/services/real estate. That’s true racism, which is very rare.
republicans hate the 1st Amendment, free speech, freedom of the press, and of course religious freedom for all religions
so if Trump calls a black politician the n-word, would that be racist in your opinion racist rhetoric causes harm, especially when coming from the President
I haven"t heard any of you condemning CNN for calling Kanye n-word.It was amusing for you, wasn't it?Any black person supporting Trump is free to be insulted. No wonder the majority of decent Americans is disgusted with the liberal media outlets. "Kanye West is what happens when negroes don't read," said Bakari Sellers. "And we have this now and now Donald Trump is gonna use it and pervert it, and he's gonna have somebody who can stand with him and take pictures." Don Lemon and Setmayer laughed at Sellers referring to West as a "negro," and Lemon laughed at the obvious discomfort from former Bush aide Scott Jennings, the only white person on the panel... https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/...l-insults-over-trump-and-gets-brutal-blowback
CNN called him the n-word? Looking that up, it looks like it was an issue. I don't see anything about the "n" word. But......in other words, racism is a problem? Right? Things can be racist and hurtful, right? Seems to me, in general, the problem is with Trump and his base who never really give a sh*t, stoke it, feel it, etc., but then jump through hoops to act like it doesn't exist, or only pretend to care when they can pin it on the "left".
Btw, it's funny when people go on about CNN and other sources... and then post stuff from places like "TheBlaze".
the question was, would that be racist, you don't have to wait until after it happens to answer - we all know *if* it happened, the Trump supporters would defend it
What if it happened? Well, one would hope the reaction should be equal on both ends. Just like if Hillary or Pelosi used that word.
of course the original constitution was racist how could anyone argue otherwise. Blacks and Indians were not treated equally with whites.
I would not for one reason, which is actually pretty personal - I think it’s stupid for one race to be able to say the word while another is condemned for saying it. If it’s insulting then nobody should use it. A word “c@nt” is insulting to all women, so nobody uses it, men and women. So is an F-word. I know, my opinion is not in line with majority - I was born in Europe and was not indoctrinated with this stupidity regarding n-word till much later in life. My former coworker (black) was once saying that anyone can use word “n!gga” but not “n!gger”. I don’t want to offend anyone at work so I didn’t use any of those words, but I do find it hypocritical that blacks use it and whites don’t.
I agree, with you that it's not ok for either race to use it, I condemned Obama for using it too, and I would condemn Trump if he used it one can not decide if it's ok to use the word based on race or they are a racist July 2015
I don’t think trump used the word while he was the POTUS. Rhetoric on both ends get someone’s feelings hurt. Left claims almost everyone disagreeing with them is racist or white supremacist, even though absolute majority of those people would never commit acts of racism that I described above.
I do not think he has either, the question was if he did, the answer should be easy, I would condemn any politician that used the word regardless of skin color
Well, Trump is rude, but I don’t think he or any POTUS should use any insulting terminology. Nobody denies the fact that Trump is rude and has a nasty personality. I didn’t vote for him but find myself often defending him because left is going way too far with criticism. Sudden shift towards open borders and “opposition to illegal immigration being racist” is a great example. Far left will bear the responsibility of Trump having second term for their rhetoric.
a President calling black people the n-word has a lot more effect then just hurt feelings, it empower white supremacists
