how about we raise taxes on the rich and lower taxes on the middle class

Nope i disagree, the federal government should be weak, except for national defense, state governments shoukd be stronger county governments stronger still and local communities stronger still and individual rights stronger than all of the above.

Right, but since that'll never happen the other alternative is to increase taxes. Not like I want that but our fine govt (sarcasm) is not going to cut spending. We can't keep adding to the debt.

The problem is that programs designed to help the poor don't help.
Environmental protections don't protect the environment
And outsourcing you can blame on wages and taxes in America being too high for competition.

 

Nope that's not how things work. If we raised taxes and by some miracle revenue went up the government would just spend it and not pay down the debt. Then we'd just have more debt.
