How about a permanent constitutional ammendment that prohibits spending more than the revenue brought in ,except during a congressionally declared war, the budget to include interest and principle payments on the national debt that are high enough to actually lower our debt. The rest of the budget to be determined by whats left over after SS,MC, and debt payments.

 

No, it is people that planned well and people that went back to thier home countries. I had a uncle that went back to Portugal where he was born when he retired. And what does sending checks overseas even mean anymore. I could live overseas and withdraw as much money as like thru a chase or BOA card.

 

I often think about the blessings and bounty we enjoy here in a Country founded on God's rules.. most of the world would consider themselves "rich" just to have the things we throw away.

 

Sure, what about putting it to a vote where all US citizens pay a flat tax percentage of 35% after the fed poverty level deduction for family size. A corporate tax rate of 10%, get rid of SS after 20 years and then a payment of the federal poverty level at age 68. And universal healthcare. We earn 20 trill a year we will raise 8 trill in taxes our present budget is 5 trill so that leave 3 trill more to cover the 60% of people that the government does not cover now. You make 75,000 as a family of 4 you deduct 26,000 have a 5% deduction for 401 gives you a total of 30,000 in deductions so 45X .35% is 16,000, for that 16,000 you get a "pension" of $13,000 a year all your healthcare and no SS medicare taxes.
