The current Congress may be willing to allocate $2.65 for a Sharpie that he can use to draw his wall.

Trump drains US spending in Europe to pay for wall with Mexico

WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary suggested European allies replenish the $771 million meant to shore up Europe’s defensive posture against Russia to fund President Donald Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border barrier.

The announcement is sure to jar European allies, where NATO members have nervously watched the president’s on-again, off-again commitment to the alliance. And it could deal a blow to the narrative among allies that Trump’s boisterous rhetoric should be taken with a grain of salt, given that money has kept flowing from Washington despite trans-Atlantic disagreements.

Half of the $3.6 billion for the border wall would come from dozens of U.S. military construction projects, and the other half would come from projects in Europe and the Pacific. In Europe, there were roughly 40 projects, including training facilities for special forces in Estonia and aviation infrastructure in Germany, Hungary and Slovakia.

Pentagon takes $89 million from pier project at Naval Base Kitsap to help fund border wall

The project funding at Naval Base Kitsap would have been used to build a pier for the Maritime Force Protection Unit, which protects submarines on the way to and from the base, according to the statement.

Other projects scheduled to lose money range from an ammunition-storage facility in Poland to a child-development center at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. In Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, they include more than $94 million for boiler repairs and projects at Eielson Air Force Base southeast of Fairbanks and $10.5 million to construct an indoor range and replace fuel facilities for an Air National Guard base in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Temporarily shifting funds. I do that all the time. Just did it this last month. We always pay extra on our house and other loans but I wanted a kayak. So we temporarily shifted funds and paid less on the house to buy a kayak. Does this mean I don't care if we have a place to live. Do I value a kayak more than my house. NO. Next month we'll be back on track. We have been known to do this with our medical bills also. It's common sense. Get a grip people.

No Republicans or Democrats have hampered Trump in getting Mexico to pay for the wall. Instead, the Mexican president told him NO! and he skulked away in tears.

 

Any folks upset about money being redirected for the wall should contact their representative and ask them to support giving Trump the money necessary for the wall so he won't have to pull it from any other areas anymore.

Meanwhile, watching the lefties here pretend to care about the military is laughable.

This POTUS and his buddies claim that Donnie "loves" military that he never served in. Yet he sends a newly appointed butt kisser Defense Sec of Def to steel from the military budget. The money was not just pulled from military entertainment but from schools, family housing, base repair, etc. Trump and his supporters do not understand that when a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine who has a wife and children serves the familybserves also. We owe that to them.....

The wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for is not accepted as a viable security item by critical thinking people and non Trump fans Who just knee jerk acceptance to every thing he claims.

 

I'm sure that you won't mind when the next Dem president declares climate change a national emergency and "temporarily shifts" funds from the Pentagon to combat climate change? Without Congress approval?
