No. I said most educated voters lived in blue districts.

And where do most educated white voters live? Are they living in red districts?

No idea. The only data I have seen is on voters, and that's all that counts.

Not if you are formulating a strategy to secure political office.

Your right it doesn't. It's just a fact around how people vote and why.
It's why Trump said “I love the poorly educated.”

What I wonder is why liberals are so very open about how much they despise the poorly educated. It is a proven election loser.

Throughout the entire 8 years of Obama one could not have any discussion whatsoever about any critique of Obama without the race card being played immediately. It was meant to shut down any opposition to anything stupid (of which there were many) things that clown did.

The left was so content with corruption that it is the only type of politics they understand, Hillary was guaranteed to not only keep all the corrupt goons in place but they would flourish under her. She is probably the single most corrupt person ever to be in politics, and that was perfectly ok with the left. Along comes a brash, often insulting guy, but one that would shake the corruption tree and the dems did not want their leaders falling out of that tree and cracking their heads on the sidewalk. So what we have is opposition to everything Trump does. These are the same idiots that refused to stand or clap during the SOU address when he pointed out his accomplishments to lower unemployment among minorities. They are so blinded by hatred that even when in one year he accomplishes what democrats have been trying to do for 50 years they will not acknowledge it. Yes we are divided, divided by the left only. They cannot handle it that our country is infinitely better off with Trump than with Clinton. They really know that to be true and cannot accept it.

I hate being right all the time.

I guess you couldn't understand the chart so try this.

Related to these shifts have been dramatic demographic changes. In just a decade, Democratic-voting districts have become strikingly better educated and more diverse. For example, Democratic-voting districts have seen their share of adults with at least a bachelor’s degree rise from 28.4% in 2008 to 35.5%. For their part, Republican districts have barely increased their bachelor’s degree attainment beyond 26.6% and have meanwhile become notably whiter and older. Today, therefore, neither party represents the same types of places it did just 10 years ago. As such, the Democratic Party is now anchored in the nation’s booming, but highly unequal, metro areas, while the GOP relies on aging and economically stagnant manufacturing-reliant rural and exurban communities.

It's the Dems that have plans to help the poorly educated, that's why it's strange they don't vote for the Democrats.
But having said that, I think they are figuring out the answer isn't Trump.

The vast majority of college graduates, regardless of their major, end up working in an administrative position. The country is full of administrators, they are everywhere. Every organization has them. Essentially, the primary job of the president is as head administrator of the country. This is an area where Obama shone while Trump has mostly ignored this function. Thus the chaos.

There are doctors and lawyers. Politically they are all over the political map. Those who go to religious schools, tend to be of lower achedemic abilities than most. They tend to be rather conservative. Those in science, who tend to be of the highest achedemic ability, tend to be rather liberal.

Engineering is more interesting. Oil and mining engineers tend to be conservative. Same with manufacturing engineers. Software engineers tend to split, with IT types tending to be more conservatives, while new product programers tend to lean liberal.

It is design engineers, especially those in the high tech industries who tend to be overwhelmingly liberal. They may also be more ethnically diverse of all professions. (Not counting entertainers)

In places like the Bay Area, Seattle, Boulder, and Boston, there is a high density of companies who employ large numbers of scientists and design engineers. Both of whom tend to be quite liberal. It is within the R&D efforts of these companies where most of our products are conceived and brought to fruition.

At least since the 1990's, independent of the Clinton machine, forces within the Democratic Party have been shifting towards the ideas of tech centered college graduates. Let there be no doubt, this is the group that not only identified global warming, but also will be the one to solve the problem, through technological innovation.

Even though Elizabeth Warren comes from the East Coast, her message is very much in line with the innovation crowd. Much of it built upon the liberal idea of continual improvement of the human condition.

I have little respect for most of the college degrees that you hang your hat on

If you think a degree in black studies or teaching makes them better citizens than a good plumber of master machinist, not to mention a farmer, then thats just your opinion

Ever been to the Pacific Northwest? The whitest part of the country, full of descendants of Scandinavian and Germanic immigrants. Washington and Oregon, especially in the Portland and Sea-Tac areas have considerably higher than average rates of college graduates.

Boulder is quite white. There used to be the joke, "If it wasn't for the athletic program at CU, there would be no Blacks in Boulder." This, a city that, practically from it's inception, specifically forbade Jim Crow type of laws. Perhaps the first in the country to do so. Boulder has the second highest rate of college educated adults.

Only the DC area has more, and it also tends to lean liberal. But to be fair, most of the college graduates in DC vote in their home districts, which are elsewhere.

I don't think we're divided, I think we're fairly unified against Trump and becoming more so every day. Trumpers were never more than a minority and I'm willing to bet Trump hasn't gained one single follower and has lost a few besides. The problem now is twofold. His base is firmly entrenched in positions of power and his rank and file are vociferous beyond belief. This makes them appear much more numerous than they are and we are soon going to find this out.

Not a better citizen, but certainly just as good.

The blue collar reverse snobs who largely make up Trump's base need to be taken down a peg or two. No citizen in America is any better than any other

What "it" are you talking about?
Trump lost the popular vote by nearly three million votes, just like most of the major national polls said.
Now, you're making up stuff. Democrats didn't control the House until this year.
Here's what you "mentioned" so far:

"I believe it started with Obama right after the Ferguson incident. He sided with the criminal and not the officer before the evidence came out. It continued with other police shootings as well. And then came Donald Trump. That election was a shock to almost everyone. The polls where wrong on that one. From day one, the liberals where in war mode. All we heard was crying, screaming at the sky, and threats of impeachment."

How did the press control what you mentioned above?
MSNBC is doing okay. CNN has a large international audience.
Oh, I think people have figured out Trump is responsible for all the drama.

Division is the result of government overreach. We can respect an opposing opinion up to the point it is being forced on us. The right wants to force their opinion on abortion, gay marriage, etc, and the left is forcing gun control, higher taxes, etc.

Our division equals more government power.

The left will say the right started it and the right will say that the left started it. Tribalism is to blame as it is an our nature to be tribal. When one forms a positive affiliation with a person or group, one also forms a positive bias. This makes it so one easily believes the positives of the person or group they like, usually with little to no critical assessment. On the flip side we tend to be oblivious to the negatives of those we like, and when we do see the negatives we ignore them, minimize them or rationalize them away. The same applies in reverse when we form a negative association with a person or group.

    Tribalism makes human behavior predictable.

Sure, sure. Enjoy the ever increasing homeless population and grinding poverty that comes with millions trying to live somewhere they can't afford.

Meanwhile, that AUTOMATION allows sane folk to work from home on their hundred acres of clean privacy - purchased for less than the price of a NY garage.

But you win! Sidewalk poop and syringes notwithstanding. Insane rents notwithstanding. No land to grow so much as a tomato plant. No means of collecting water. Not enough space for kith and kin to join you, thus ensuring all have secure housing for life. You still win :trophy:

You may not, but they appear to believe they're entitled to live wherever they like, without actually doing the stuff you need to do to .... live wherever you like. You know .. work your behind off until you're rich enough to afford it?

If by 'educated' you mean too fickle and stupid to understand civics and community, then you get another trophy!
