    Hunter Biden is walking away from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company as part of a public pledge to disavow all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, gains the presidency in 2020.

    Joe Biden’s second son made his move after a month of pushing by U.S. President Donald Trump who has publicly highlighted the perceived – and real – conflicts of interest represented by Biden’s work in Asia.

    Im skeptical that he's stepping down-I think its damage control for the Biden campaign.

    But the question is-why step down if he did nothing wrong?

    This appears to confirm guilt-which is bad optics in and of itself.

    If he had integrity he wouldn’t be in the position he’s in. Can you or anyone else explain how this guy got on the board of this company and what qualifications justified his being there?

    Can you or any one explain how the majority of people in this world get on the board of large corporations? I can't. If I had to guess I would say it's because they or a family relative was 'connected'. I'm jealous.

    There is nothing that needs CYA until your father is elected President. No need to say a thing earlier unless questioned. It appears there was a question so he responded. I think jr. calls this type of a thing a nothing burger. And by the way, speaking of jr. has he relinquished his ties that most people consider conflicting and unethical?

    I wonder if the Trump’s and Kushner’s will do the same? Better yet Don Sr. could simply resign but am thinking that would be a blow to their bottom-line. Man, they’re damned if they and damned if the don’t. Money Laundering is a messy business.

    GW Bush coked his way through his sordid Military career and got elected President 2 times. Lots of people have dabbled in cocaine use. Doesn’t necessesarily make them bad people. Hunter is not running for any public office and he has not been charged with any crime even after sleaziods, Guiliani, Trump, Pompeo, Rick Perry and their 4 crooked Sputnik buddies, 2 of whom were arrested fleeing the US last week have been trying to cook up some scheme to slime him and his father.
