News outlets are stepping up.

It used to be that TV news stations would passively let people like Kellyanne Conway, Giuliani, Stephen Miller, Steve Mnuchin, Deven Nunes, Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan and the rest of the Republicans have their rant without too much pushback. Apparently the stations and networks got tired of Republicans using them as platform to lie to the American people.

Lately they have taken to pushing back, calling out the lies. There was an interesting one lately where a reporter kept asking Pompeo questions he didn't want to answer. She kept on him until it was quite clear he wasn't being honest. Chuck Todd has been getting aggressive lately, even getting into shouting matches after calling out lying Republican congressmen.

It is about time.

It has long seemed to be that conservatives and Republicans hang their hats on things that are less than honest. Pick a subject, the climate, antifa, just about anything about Obama, the economy, Mexican immigrants, education, Blacks, liberals, the media, history, Trump's criminality... And the rhetoric coming from Republicans is less than honorable.

I have lived my whole life with the idea of always being honest, with myself and others. If I don't know something, I go look it up or otherwise figure it out. I don't see this trait in conservative thought. Actually the opposite.

 

I'm waiting for some reporter (collecting his/her first retirement check) to just call Trump a liar. L I A R ! right in front of the cameras.

 

Up until now, there has been no repercussions for lying. Trump knows that. He puts things out there knowing people will believe him. And spread his good news. And they have.

 

trump and his buddies are finding out it's pretty hard to put a spin on cold hard facts.

 

It's hilarious how Progressives/Communists are trying to call people liars.

As they protect; Biden's kid, Pelosi's kid, Romney's kid, Kerry's kid, McCains kid, Clintons kid and many more!

This is why you guys are losing, this post itself is literally a fairy tale. Progressives are flat out making things up, they simply can't believe that their media weapons have no effect on Americans anymore.

You guys are going to lose 2020 BADLY and I think you all know it.

Carry on, please continue telling each other made up stories to make yourselves feel better, it's just making 2020 that much easier!

I thought Sen Johnson did a fantastic job last Sunday on Meet the Press we he took down and called out Chucky Todd for his "parody" of a show

 

Truth hurts, doesn't it. Try supplying some substance rather than just calling me dishonest and a liar.

This is a role that the Press had not other option but to adopt. It's how, hopefully, news outlets will work in the PT (Post-Truth or Post-Trump) era. They will not only have to fact-check in real time. They need to develop technology that will help them do that. So that when the next Trump-wannabee says something like "AOC called Americans garbage" they can immediately say: "Wrong! This is what she really said. Play the tape!"

 

Is that the one where Chuck Todd called him out for spewing out Fox news conspiracy silliness.

 

Yeah, Chucky lost his cool when he got called out and went on a radical left wing tangent....it's was great.....folks need to step it up and call out these propagandist

 

I saw a video the other day, I don't remember what channel it was on, but they had a split screen. In the larger part they had Congressional Republicans speaking to reporters, defending Trump. On the side screen, they had real time fact checking.

 

So is the typical conservative game of pretending things are the opposite of reality. At the beginning, Johnson went of on a Fox News conspiracy theory rant, and Todd called him out for it. When Johnson didn't want to answer a question, he went off on the usual Republican scam about fake news and all that silliness.

 

He just called out Todd for his BS and bias...not sure what Fox News has to do with it...this was on NBC....it was very telling to see Todd go there though....very telling

 

What about all the left-wing liars?
