You lefties crack me up. For one thing, reading comprehension matters, I wrote "as ridiculous as a soup sandwich". Soup, not soap. And if I need to explain why a soup sandwich would be ridiculous..... :omfg: But hey, I'm glad you enjoyed soap sandwiches as a kid (wtf?? really??)

Eight pages of this thread, and the thing you thought merited a reply was "soup sandwich".... Lefties.... ROFL.

The Republicans treated Obama the same way the way the Democrats treated GWB. The Democrats have taken that to a whole new level, a level they will have to endure themselves with the next Democrat President. The Democrats have no foresight, it was Harry Reid that got Kavanagh on the SCOTUS by doing away with the filibuster. Be careful what you wish for......sometimes you get it.

There were almost a dozen security incidents in Benghazi starting in 2011, just because Obama didn't recognize the danger doesn't constitute no intelligence failure, just ignorance on his part.

Does it make you angry (as a white person) when an indigenous person doesn't care about this stuff the way you do?

And you don't think continuing this game of “let’s see who can piss the other side off the most” is going to have disastrous consequences for this country? Many of trump’s supporters do not support him because of his policies but rather because he is trolling the librilz. Is that a good president?

    Who is burning books?
Who is saying to erase past events?

We just shouldn’t have a holiday recognizing him.

Thanks. Now find us a powerful figure from history who was kind to puppies and never exploited or harmed another human being. I expect the list will be very very long. I mean, only a tiny percentage of powerful men ever did 'bad' things.

Is that supposed to be a counter argument? We should honor a man as discovering America who didn’t discover America and was a giant POS because everyone is a POS?

    That’s an interesting argument.

I can't argue with the holiday thing, because there's no need for 'honouring' holidays period. But there should be no changes made to established traditions when they literally harm NO ONE (and having your feelings hurt is not harm. that's a First World problem). We're well past that kind of brutality now, and can process it without issue. Besides, Columbus was a significant figure. Just as Chairman Mao was. Plus a wealth of other dodgy characters. That's our crazy, horrible, wonderful, shocking history. Stop freaking sanitising it!

Jerry Rubin came to the University of West Florida back in the very early 1970's to a "peace rally". We Southern Freaks, we didn't like the work "Hippie", went to it to hear him speak. We he got to the part about taking over the government schools and getting the kids away from their parents so we the enlightened porgressive/socialist/communist could get them away from the parental influence and indoctrinate them into the new world we literally ran him off the stage and off the campus.

How about you just ignore Columbus day, instead of deciding what holidays everyone else should have?

It's the soundest argument you'll get. If EVERYONE was a POS by today's standards, where on earth will you stop? What will stop you? When we've become NK, and only sanctioned history shall be acknowledged?

They want their single preferred solution for all times. Take about a DEAD STOP.

For real progress now, we have to look to those not hog-tied by political ideologies.

Can you return to the threads you have ran from because your arguments were decimated?

And what specifically would you like me to elaborate on?
    1) Pocahontas used as a derogatory is racism
    2) Warren immediately and honestly released the results of her DNA test that refuted what she had been told her heritage was by her family
    3) Warren apologized to the Cherokee Nation
    4) The Cherokee Nation responded “We are encouraged by this dialogue and understanding that being a Cherokee Nation tribal citizen is rooted in centuries of culture and laws not through DNA tests. We are encouraged by her action and hope that the slurs and mockery of tribal citizens and Indian history and heritage will now come to an end.”
    5) trump is a lying, adulterous, bankrupt, failed reality tv star and political troll that will be remembered as a dark time in American politics.
    6) trump spends more time tweeting and golfing than he does acting like a president.

    Is that enough elaboration?

All history should be acknowledged. I have never argued differently.

We should not have holidays honoring men (or women) for things they did not do.

You didn't answer my question-what makes you think Trump has support because he trolls liberals?

You didn’t ask that question, you asked me to elaborate on a random trump tweet where he lies and espouses racism.
As to your second question, direct quotes from trump supporters are my primary line of reasoning.
