It’s to prevent other witnesses from knowing all of what was said.

"Obama is already gone" … but not forgotten by those who maul him and Hillary, to deflect from Trump's woeful actions.

Incorrect. This is not the rule; it is an exception to the rule. I don't trust Republicans either. No excuse for secretive meetings.

I don't buy that. So have one witness at a time.

You are not qualified to call for the operation of their minds. There is no excuse for clandestine meetings.

You mean IF he was convicted. Obviously he was not. Had he been, his removal would have been a requirement.

The PelosiSchiff knows that "Democracy Dies In Darkness".

    "The Pinocchio Test"

"But Schiff on “Morning Joe” clearly made a statement that was false. He now says he was answering the wrong question, but if that was the case, he should have quickly corrected the record. He compounded his falsehood by telling reporters a few days later that if not for the IG’s office, the committee would not have known about the complaint. That again suggested there had been no prior communication.

The explanation that Schiff was not sure it was the same whistleblower especially strains credulity.
    Schiff earns Four Pinocchios."
WASHINGTON POST, Fact Checker Analysis, Schiff’s false claim his committee had not spoken to the whistleblower, By Glenn Kessler , Oct. 4, 2019.

    "Why the hairsplitting?"

Because you don't seem to know that there is a difference between a Washington based company and a foreign country.

Republicans want to move the investigation on as quickly as possible. As long as it stays in the House, Nancy controls the clock. Get it to the Senate as fast as possible, in order to vote it down quickly, before anything else comes up, stretching "party before country" to the breaking point.

    So what?

The GOP did the same thing to Clinton (Voted Impeachment with ZERO chance of Senate Conviction).

    ^So, there's that. :salute:

That will be another "Do you feel lucky? Well, do you punk?" moment for our brave little House pols.

It will be quite a scene.

Strange, Republicans can't call witnesses and issue subpoenas. When this was happening to Clinton, it was public, Clinton's lawyers were able to be present.

The ONLY place this is "bi-partisan" is in Leftist Liar Land like the MSM. Otherwise, we wouldn't have over a dozen Republicans storm the SCIF, or have Lindsay Graham put out a resolution today denouncing the Democrat process and secrecy.

"reports in the New York Times and The Washington Post that the whistleblower approached a House Intelligence Committee staff member
for guidance before filing a complaint with the Intelligence Community inspector general."

Not Schiff. Not the Committee. A staff member. Where is the lie?
