After nearly 4 years of a Trump Presidency, the elasticity of America's fabric is has taken a beating. Everything from attacking American institutions to the First Amendment by attacking the media, there is clear evidence to show our country has all but continued to fall apart since the 2016 election. And I'm not talking democrats or republicans here, but what it means to be American.

The "divide and conquer" mentality Trump has used to garner mob mentality at his rallies, to continuously persuade his base, we've seen has brought out some of the worst in this country that should've stayed hidden under a rock. Vermin that shames our American values we hold dear in football stadiums.

The incriminating scandals obviously haven't bugged people, let alone his base, and I predict it will be quite ugly should Trump get another four years. The GOP has lost our trust, what in them is to vote for?

Trump is undermining our trust in the very fabric of American society.

He's trashing the FBI, the military, the State Department, the justice system, of course the government in general...he's stoking racial animus

And he's screwing with our economic system.

So far these things have held up ---weakened as he has made them...but My God....four more years of this?

Our nation is strong but I fear it may not be strong enough to withstand that onslaught

Our FBI need a good tearing down and fixing. The left had turned it too much into a political tool. The left is also "stoking racial animus", making up BS lies all in the name of keeping votes despite the great gains minorities have made under the Trump administration. Our economy is stronger than ever. Unless the dems manage to find some incredible candidate, then Trump has my vote again. Certainly all of the candidates now are straight garbage. Tulsi Gabbard is the best the left has, but I think she has a snowball's chance in hell of securing the nomination. The frontrunners will never beat Trump in the general election. They are far too radical for mainstream America.

This type of reply does nothing but strengthen the belief held by Democrats and Independents that forever Trump fans are merely projecting. It also reveals that those holding such views are uninformed and unwilling to consider options. Nothing to be gained here.

We have gone from a country that disapproved of peoples' views to a country that disapproves of people.

so, which candidate of the democrats have my point of view? I am very pro first and second amendment, very pro military, very pro environment. I believe government should be smaller and mostly stay out of people’s lives. I believe in equal opportunity, not equality.

so which candidate is for me? Trump does not represent a lot of my points of view either, but certainly does so more than any democratic nominee.

Remember, if you criticize Obama, you're a racist. If you run against Obama, you're a racist... spewed by dems, spread by the media, non-stop, for 8 years.

Now they whine about the division and the future of the country. How can possibly people be so divorced from reality. Jeez

The Constitution of the United States is an inspired document that solidifies and validates a divine experiment that has shaken a world once run by dictators and royalty. It is America's rule book aimed always at a more perfect union. Trump has never read it and never will. He has sworn to uphold something he despises.

He has no understanding of the separation of powers, he doesn't understand the concept of co-equal branches of government, he believes our laws are but an impediment to his dictatorial instincts, he declares the White House is a dump, he vilifies our friends and allies, he cozies up to tyrants, he has no understanding of Western and American history, and he wants America to surrender its place in the world and replace it with nationalism.

Trump understands short term transactional relationships that are a win-lose battles where he, personally, must win. His political philosophy is one of division and tribal battles that, again, his tribe must win at the expense of all others. Mostly, it is a battle he must win for himself.

I believe Trump is the greatest threat to democracy our nation has ever experienced. After only three years of misguided leadership he has ruthlessly attacked all our institutions, adopted an America Alone foreign "policy," and weakened our alliances. Another four years of Trump may see an America devoid of her once greatness. He is an unmitigated, corrupt disaster.

I believe the State of our Union is strong. As long as the North keeps sendin' in the cheesy tots, Idaho potatoes, New York media outlets. They've learned their lesson from the war of the Northern slaughterhouse and improved their ways, they stand in awe of the native and self-determination methods of the improvement of our Civil Rights and African American citizens, the genius of the Southern people. The north man has learned to embrace the confederate brother in a more permanent Union we hope in the future. Obama ended Reconstruction under General George Bush I wager.

It's up to the GOP to reconstitute itself in the post-Trump era. It will depend on what they do. They now have a much better picture of who among them are either corrupt unconditional yes-men who should never be anywhere near public office again: Mulvaney, Barr, Pence, Flynn... and many others. And they will know about even more in the next few weeks. At the same time, some "heroes" have started to pop up. A few who seem willing to put their country before their own interests: Bill Taylor, Marie Yovanovitch, ... and maybe others whose motivation is "unclear".at this point.

By the end of this, we and, more importantly, GOP followers, will know who stands where on the Country's interest vs personal gain.

Obama saved the auto industry from going belly up. Had that happened, that would’ve made the recession much mire worse. Layoffs from GM, Ford, Chrysler, eventually other automakers would feel the shockwaves. That’s a accomplishment in itself.

Obama killed Bin Laden, like it or not you have to give the man credit for doing so. He even gave Bush Jr credit for it. We had the Clean Aor Act, which to this day, I don’t see how it was bad.

We can focus on the Obamacare disaster, or we can focus on the good Obama did. Oh, and he didn’t spend executive time tweeting and watching cable news either.

Obama understood the importance of globalism, and to this day, technology is what took those jobs. Not trade policy. Every company has to be global to have some sort of universal footprint which globalism provides.

The thing to me that is most troublesome is the corruption of the DOJ and the number of judicial positions the Liar-in-Chief has filled with right wing ideologues. We now have an AG running around the world in search of info aligned with a batshyte crazy conspiracy theory. And he has launched a criminal investigation in to people who wanted to investigate the acts of the most corrupt prez in our history. It's Stalinesque.

People who attack Obama often don’t know why they’re attacking him. Obamacare, play fair enough. But if you come up with scandals, I can counter with examples of scandals by Trump equally as, if not more, nefarious.

The arrests of Gulianis partners who were going to escape to Ukraine who are in pictures with Trump isn’t fake news.

Conviction and deportation of a Russian national who was connected to the 2016 election for conspiracy against the United States isn’t fake news.

Cesar Sayoc wasn’t fake news, and Trump being listed in the El Paso shooters manifesto wasn’t a coincidence either.

I think it’s hard to defend this fake news stuff when so much of it is proven to be factual. .

Gays were targeted not by Obama, but by those in power now who weren’t then. Obama empowered the LGBT community. Another win for America.
    Another accomplishment by Obama.

The other side of the coin is obvious to core Americans- and that is that Trump is supporting the values that have made America the greatest nation in history, while the opposition is bouncing around trying to destroy those very same values with any kind of trick possible, and not a moment's concern for the moral depravity of their actions. Trump has his flaws, but his direction and purpose is on target and long overdue.

No question Trump has made some changes that could be called divisive- but when things are in bad shape and heading for worse, a good leader does call that out, does demand it change- and the alligators that haunt the swamp and are used to controlling things are not going to like it. They are going to distort facts, hide abuse, promote weakness and entitlement- and anything they can do to retain or gain power has become legitimate in their own eyes. That is, in my opinion- not just bad character, not just dishonorable, but bordering on treason and sedition.

The problem that got Trump elected has been growing for some time- and weakening the character and spirit of our people with insidious deception. We aren't dividing the American people- we are challenging those who disrespect and abuse the privilege of being Americans to step up to the plate and act like Americans. Of course they deny, they lie, they fabricate and plot- because the gravy train of abuse is under threat.

NO country survives without pride in itself, without honor and freedom being of great value to it's people. The left would have all white people see themselves as trash, all history as guilty of not being perfect, our nation as belonging to everyone but us, believe they are free to insult those they don't like but nobody should offend them- and of course that the world owing them a living. That is nothing less than a highway to total destruction- and no man of conscience can endorse that.

True that you heard that for 8 years. But not from dems.. Rather from Rush, Hannity and the wingnut media echo chamber. They were the only ones saying that nonsense.
