Apparently you know what you don't want to know.

We had a post about how intelligent democrats were because they were better educated. I provided a study that showed that in spite of that better education, republicans were better informed.

Whether you do not is your concern. Since I have never indicated any sentiment that conflicts with my noting, "All Americans, of course, regardless of academic attainment, wealth, or other distinctions have an equal right to express their elective preferences, and all must be equally respected," your ad hominm is without substance.

This claim that those certain states are "better educated" means nothing. I've seen those kinds of studies many times. They are virtually all based on the length of a persons education. Thus a high school graduate who becomes a neurosurgery technician after a one year training course is going to be considered "less educated" than a high school graduate who spent six years in college majoring in "Women's Studies".

Personally I would always consider the former "more educated" than the latter. And I know of real life examples of this by the way.

    A single obscure study.

Not everyone likes empirical data that does not pander to their political biases. Nevertheless, it is what it is.

Academic achievement significantly correlates with political orientation as well as income and other demographic metrics. One can still demean academic achievement and contrive specific scenarios that serve an agenda. It certainly doesn't suggest greater intelligence, as some falsely allege.

Did the white "blue collar" folks who previously, overwhelmingly, supported Democrats but were attracted to Trump in 2016 suddenly become stupid? Of course not, no more than the white, college-educated suburbanites who have switched from predominantly Republican allegiance to Democratic in the age of Trumpery suddenly become brilliant.

Folks vote their perceived self-interests and values, and their circumstances and perspectives differ.

Obscure or not. It was very conclusive. Republicans were better informed than democrats. And independents for that matter.

However you seem to be using the ole' "use the exception to make the rule" trick. I went to college, but I am sure that I have learnt more on my own, than I've ever learnt in school.

However, in general a college educated person tends to be smarter than those who are not. Of an average graduating high school class, only about 30% or so have the ability to do college level work.

Even in Colorado, which has one of the best education systems, only about 40% of the students achieve proficency in mathematics. As good as it gets in America.

    Educational attaimment is a competition.

You assume that most modern colleges actually "educate" students. As an educator I know this is seldom true anymore.

In which case you are arguing against your position that "education leads to people voting Democratic".

You can say that all you want, but I can look around and see otherwise.

I'm sure that there are plenty of Republicans out there that àre much better informed than me on say tearing down a AK-47, or whatever it is you shoot, and rebuilting it. And I'm sure many Republicans are better informed in the latest sport team stats. But then I listen to right wing media and hear the misinformation that they peddle. About a year ago, all the conservative world was out of their minds thinking that Jim Acosta had struck a young woman, in an effort to hang onto the microphone, after he pushed Trump's buttons, and Trump went gaga. Turned out the outrage was triggered by an altered video and a false narrative, all peddled on right wing media.

I believe the whole thing is funny. When that study came out, there was a lot of braying by the democrats about how bad Fox News was and therefore the republican. I noticed that in some of the questions, the republicans were more accurate than the democrats. When I went through the test, I found that the republicans did better on every one of the questions. When I pointed that out, suddenly the whole study was deemed to be worthless by the democrats.

Regardless of how you paint it, republicans did better than democrats and the test is purely objective. They were either right or wrong. Completely objective.

I love the protests by the democrats when I mention it.

Didn't read whole repetitive NEA shill thread. Won't bother with a full debunk this time, as the troll OP will post this same moronic thread in slightly different clothes next month as they have for years.

    1. "States" are not "educated." Individuals are or are not. Education product bought in anything from anywhere ~= "education."
    2. Government workers and contractors, including especially teachers and edu bureaucrats, and almost no one else, are paid lockstep for their attaining junk degrees in anything from anywhere. Government workers and contractors, including especially teachers and edu bureaucrats, vote overwhelmingly for statist (Democrat) candidates out of SELF INTEREST of obtaining more and more largesse from legitimate private sector taxpayers at the end of a govt gun barrel, not because they are "more educated."
    3. Democrats overwhelmingly win the two lowest income hexiles. Income is demonstrated to correlate highly with both intelligence and legitimate forms of education. The whole "most/least educated" LIE NARRATIVE is crafted to deflect and project this fact of U.S. electoral behavior.

Yes, Democrats are the party of the less intelligent and less legitimately educated. Without those dumb, dependent voting blocs, the Democratic Party would instantly cease to exist. No amount of NEA newsletter BS repeated ad infinitum can change that plain fact.

yep, libratarism should become a 3rd party option, split the Republican vote ;)

the reality is, if a 3rd party happened, it would split the vote of one of the other two and the remaining party would win every time

That is your thesis apparently. I merely note the empirical data from which you are free to draw your conclusions.

    EDUCATIONAL RANKING
    1 Massachusetts
    2 Maryland
    3 Vermont
    4 Connecticut
    5 Colorado
    6 Virginia
    7 New Hampshire
    8 Minnesota
    9 Utah
    10 Washington...
    41 Tennessee
    42 South Carolina
    43 Oklahoma
    44 Nevada
    45 Kentucky
    46 Alabama
    47 Arkansas
    48 Louisiana
    49 West Virginia
    50 Mississippi

The conservative Washington Times: "Democrats now more educated than Republicans, Pew survey finds."

Do those folks with higher academic attainments and who enjoy greater income perceive their self-interests and values differently based upon their circumstances and perspectives? Of course.

But republicans make use of it more effectively.
That higher income really does a lot of good in California where many cannot afford to own a home.

Really? Ever heard of Jonathan Haidt? Consistently ranked as one the top intellectuals in the world. In fact I know of no intellectuals regarded more highly than him.

He has demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that liberals have absolutely no clue what conservatives think but that conservatives know how liberals think.
