We chased one through three polling places before they gave up and headed back into Dade County.

It started at a polling place in Pembroke Pines at Sheridan St just East of Flamingo Road, a private jitney out of Hialeah pulled up and 18 got out and gathered around the rear of the bus until everyone was off the bus, the producer I was working with and I got out of our car and walked over to them while I rolled video, none one spoke English so my producer asked in Spanish where did they come from, the driver told everybody to get back on the bus and he drove off with us following him.

Two more polling places another in Pines and the third in Miramar and same action no answers just get out of the bus see us and take off again.

They finally got on Red Road and went back to Dade and we went back to monitoring Broward polling places.

 

Of course not.

But, then again, I'm not French either ...

I think my post shows that I clearly do not need help to figure it out. My point is that while the EC made sense to the founders given their circumstances, it no longer makes sense and, in fact, creates an inequitable result with millions of voters disenfranchised.

The President is supposed to represent all Americans. One person, one vote. What's so complicated about that?

 

I know it has been at least a couple of months since I studied it...but where does it say that in the U.S. Constitution?

 

Where did I make any such claim? My point is that it should be one person, one vote, not that it is.

Because we are a nation of individual PEOPLE not STATES.. Jeebus, then 7000 people living in one sparsely populated state should have as much influence as 7 millon living on another with lot of inhabitants?

States are artificial constructs. Arbitrary groupings of people with no real connections with one another and no reason such connections should matter to everyone else even if they existed. Individual actual people really demonstrably exist. They in fact are US and WE are the ones who must suffer under the bootheel of a tyrant most of us were AGAINST.

That's not how treaties work. A treaties are established between sovereign states.

You asked where did you make any such claim just after making that claim, I just pointed out your error and lack of understanding what you just claimed.

It was the Liberal Agenda that destroyed Civics Education in America. They've been destroying it since before I was in Elementary School in this country.

If it were not for well grounded Professor of World History during my freshman year on College, I would have never understood this singular fact, nor would I have had the guidance to literature, authors and publications that were either outright banned in the United States or Proforma-Banned in the United States because they dared tell the truth about our World.

It is my opinion that teaching "Civics" without proper historical context for the how our current system of government came into existence through and understanding of the World History that made it possible, is not only inefficient and ineffective but entirely dangerous. Nature abhors a vacuum and so does Historical Context.

You are not knowledgeable merely because you understand how something functions. You are truly knowledgeable when you know how something functions as well as knowing its point of origin in the world. That's the only way that contextual reference can be made with any degree of qualitative depth. Anything less than point of origin education is indeed part of the Dumbing Down Process that we have managed to perfect here in the United States of America.

 

Which creates the vacuum that the liberals need so they can fill it with their revised form of civics.

 

Trump was a mystery since he had no political record. On the other hand, we knew all we needed to know about Hillary and the political left.

 

Again, we are not a democracy. Democracy is a terrible form of government.

The EC was designed to further frustrate democracy and provide the smaller states a balance to the more populace states which have greater representation in the House of Representatives.

Why aren't you asking the question - 'is it "fair" for the more populous states to have more representation in the House'??

You leftists who are arguing for democracy and to abolish the EC don't seem to understand Americanism and the foundations of our republic at all.
