So state laws can’t override a federal law? Do you know why that is?

do you have a passport? Does it say you are a citizen of your state, or a US citizen?

Here's something fun to do. Pull up the text of the constitution. Do a text search on "nation". Let me know what you find.

So you really don’t know state laws can’t override a federal one? You think you are a citizen of the state you reside, and not a citizen of the US? Lol you believe some really whacky things.

Why have you given up on trying to support your assertion that the US is a nation? I called you on it, and now you're dithering.

I don’t understand where you learned these whacky things you believe. They covered this in 6th grade civics. We are a single country, with a single supreme law of the land.

Are you now changing it from nation to country? You said nation before. Are you giving up on that now?

Great. Then you agree that because we are a single nation, the nations supreme law (federal law) supersedes state law. Thank you.

No, the fact whether the US is a nation is the point of our disagreement. I have stated that the constitution nowhere says anything about a nation. All it talks about is a union. Feel free to produce any reference to "nation" in the constitution.

There’s nothing to disagree on. The US is a sovereign nation. There are 50 states that make up that single nation. This is reality. It’s why your passport says US citizen, and not Texas citizen (or whatever state you reside)

This is what it says: "2: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land;"

So where does it say "nation"?

So is federal law or state law supreme? And do you know why?

The treaty clearly says that the laws of the united states made in pursuance of the constitution are the supreme law of the land for all states who wish to remain in the union.

So have you given up on trying to provide any justification for your calling the united states a nation?

Great! Then you agree federal law supersedes state law, as federal law is the law of the nation. It’s why your citizenship is US, and not Texas (or whatever state you reside)

    Nope.
So you've totally given up on trying to cite where the constitution says "nation". I knew you would.

Nope what? Federal law supersedes state law.

What does your passport say under citizenship?

Keep repeating it. Maybe that will make it true.
I don't have a passport. But if I had one, I believe it would say united states.

So you've totally given up on trying to cite where the constitution says "nation". I knew you would.
