That is the dispute. I do not believe man has a hill of beans to do with climate.

Carbon Dioxide of less than 150 ppm and this planet dies. We are fortunate to have a bit over 400 ppm. A millionth of a part is hardly worth noticing.

    The correct question is why?

Control, and ability to affect are not the same thing.

I do not make a nickel from this rude comment called denial. I say the Alarmists are in denial. And they rush to judgement. And their target is the human race.

No, but because you don't know what you are talking about, you are at the mercy of those who do make billions and billions from causing global warming.

Sorry but my years of studying physics, and even Chemistry and of course climate tell me that is wrong.

Affect is shorthand for something. And how do you quantify effect?

Carbon Dioxide is so valuable as a sinking heavy gas it feeds Earth's plants.

How utterly arrogant. Even though you do not know what you are talking about, I refrained from slurring you in that manner.

Well, I am going to say it is not believable that you studied climate. But I might change my mind if you can point to research that you published on the subject, or even something related. Otherwise, my years of studying physics and chemistry are equal to yours and useless. I don't quantify the effects. Scientists do.

I freely admit that I don't know what I am talking about when arguing the technicalities of climate change. That is what experts who dedicate their lives to studying the subject are for. Even the degrees I have don't make me an expert in the things that I have degrees in. Unless I spend my life studying something, I have to defer to those that do.

You have been ultra selective as to what you learned about. And climate is not in your wheelhouse. So why do you believe so many experts on climate do not accept that man controls climate?

I studied the basic sciences in college. I wanted to be a pilot and found out that to be licensed, I had to master weather which is essentially what climate is. So since 1980 due to the crap put forth by Democrats, I had to deeply study climate. I am not easy to bull shift.

Why do you believe alarmism is extremely profitable? The money trail my friend.

Because there are no serious scientific organizations who deny man made climate change. Expert or not, I can read the peer reviewed studies that show almost all experts who study the subject believe it is real. I have never heard a smart non-hack who denies it.

Ok, so you have absolutely 0 training in the subject. Aviation weather is about as basic as you can get. But also, weather isn't remotely climate.

How is it profitable? And even if there are any profits, how can they remotely compare to the profits of denial?

What are the profits of acceptance? It's not like I'm going to look to Trump to control the weather, or any dingleberry politician. If people are worried, they can crush their car and break out their old 10 speed from the garage, I guess. Maybe stop buying so much from countries like China that couldn't care less about climate change, dry their laundry in the sun rather than the drier, and plant a few trees. I believe that burning wood is a perfectly adequate way to keep warm in winter, so why not put in a gas burning stove and maybe even oven? Cutting a cord of wood is also a great way to exercise.

I'm not going to do any of that, but won't stand in the way of people who do.

Well, burning wood releases a ton of carbon. But I think you have a a very large misunderstanding of the proportions involved....

Yes, it releases carbon, but that is simply releasing what the tree absorbed while growing. At the end of the day, it's hurting just as much as it helped.

What do you mean by saying I don't understand the proportions involved? Just how big is your carbon footprint?

My carbon foot print is pretty huge honestly. But it's a drop in the bucket on a global scale. That's why individual effort can't do it.

I mean, I'm sure if they are wrong, you could demonstrate that in some way shape or form....

That's the only way it's going to be changed, so I guess it's not going to be changed.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't care. If it starts warming up, I might move to Alaska. It's a beautiful state, but too cold at the moment. There's also an entire continent down south that is so cold that it's got a population of maybe 100 scientists suffering from cabin fever.
