It should also be noted that the US has one third the population of China meaning Americans pollute three times as much as the Chinese. And China is embracing clean energy in ways that far exceed American efforts

FYI that has him on tract to be lower growth than Bush Sr, 80%, who got voted out because "it's the economy stupid". You sure as heck don't want to compare that to Obama's numbers let alone Clinton's.

Or, maybe that 45 per cent thought it would be stupid to invest in safe low interest accounts.

Is not the base interest rate being held low in the US as over here in Europe. Produces low interest 'savings' account Speculative investments 'promise' a greater return. And possibly a more interesting life.

Are you seriously suggesting that Trumps word salad is a coherent message?

Yes they were held artificially low through the Obama Administration. They have risen some under Trump. But the interest rate is irrelevant if people don’t have money to invest. It seems most invest in $5 coffees, smokes, booze, child support, prepared foods, alimony, vehicle depreciation, and 30+ year low down payment home mortgages.

What about exploring the crystal energy of the Atlanteans? Edgar Cayce explains a little bit of it:

One of the most detailed descriptions of the Atlantean use of a mysterious instrument called the Great Crystal was given by Edgar Cayce, who mentioned it many times. The crystal, he said was housed in a special building oval in shape, with a dome that could be rolled back, exposing the Crystal to the light of the sun, moon and stars at the most favorable time. The interior of the building was lined with non-conducting metal or stone, similar to asbestos or bakelite, a thermosetting plastic.
    ...
Later the Great Crystal was put to other uses. Currents of energy were transmitted throughout the land, like radio waves, and powered by these, crafts and vehicles traversed the land, through the sky and under the sea at the speed of sound.

    Read all here:
    https://www.crystalinks.com/atlanteancrystals.html
    ----
Du you, No-Angst-Haeschen, have any knowledge why this kind of Energy has been ignored all these years? Frankly, I am puzzled. Supposedly, so many Atlanteans are presently incarnated again and have brought much of their Know-How of technology with them. Perhaps one day they will remember their Great Crystal again!

Oh, so now we're going to deflect based on some gray comparative analysis about other manufacturing?

Look, his statement was clear. That was three issue taken

Are you suggeting Trump is opposed to manufacturing???

    And, what are these "fumes"?

Is he opposed to manufacturing cars? Railroad engines? Airplanes? Boats?

Are you - after all, you said you buy into his argument.

    Show me.[/QUOTE]
You want the facts? They are readily available.

Fact, manufacturing wind turbines, and maintenance of in service units, are high pollution generating activities.

Just like sourcing batteries for EV is hugely pollution generating and environmentally messy.

    Those sir are facts.

Government subsidy in green energy is an investment, subsides in coal are a bail out. Don't demonize all government fiscal intervention, just one example: NASA.

If Trump is in fact as mentally challenged as you seem to suggest, it should be a simple matter for old hippie Bernie, tough guy Joe, or the fake Indian to crush him in future Presidential candidate debates -- but we all know that isn't going to happen.

If you want to show evidence that building and operating wind turbines causes more "fumes" than building and operating fossil fuel plants (such as the coal plants Trump promotes), please give us a report.

You may be right but even if you are your attitude make it impossible for you to see what they contribute to society. Ask yourself this ; Why does every developed country on this planet have 'poor people ' and those few super rich, low population countries 'import' poor people. You omitted the amount of crime committed by these wretches, very important. Try looking at poverty/crime as a functional contribution to society and you might understand why we all suffer the 'poor'. On a personal note, before I retired I and many thousands made their careers and livelihood on the back of 'the poor'

In case you missed it, trump inherited the trend you see in the economy. Despite trump it's been doing nicely since 2008.

True, though Trump has perpetuated this by a trillion dollars per year of borrowing - impossible to justify in times of relative peace and healthy economy.

As someone who works on Wall Street, I can tell you there are tons of people in this industry who believes ridiculous things. However, anyone who works at the Fed will tell you that the Fed is instrument independent.

fact is that neither the fed, nor the administration accept economic cycles.... and will go to extreme (and ultimately dubious ) ends to prevent them. The fed had decided on quantitative tightening... until the stock market went down

the fed keeps pumping billions of dollars into an economy described as by far the best in the world and the best it has ever been
