Everything I do to oppose this man, is in the service of my country. I honor, what he defiles every time he tweets.

You really should take a step back for a moment and smell reality. Even if one is going to ascribe the most self serving of motives to Trump and his ego, he wants to go down as a great president if for no other reason than to satiate his huge ego. It is truly nonsensical to conclude that he doesn't care if he does a good job. Obviously leftists are going to have a different perspective on what constitutes a "good job" than would rightists, and that is seemingly the only plausible explanation for your illogical interpretation.

So when he is resoundingly re-elected in November, will you honor the voice of the Heartland?

Your comment,"I am amazed you think this guy gives a rat's ass about anyone besides himself.." speaks volumes of not realizing that there are millions of people much better off this very day because of his efforts.

...Umm, no millions of people are better of because of their own efforts..Trump has done nothing to take credit for those peoples hard work. Had we been in a depression or recession you may be able to state such crap. But we are not.

And not only that, I doubt anyone would mind if even another republican wins instead of Trump..isnt someone running against him from the GOP? Dont count your chickens before they hatch.

Conversely, do you defile everything he honors?

    Today, Trump Tweeted this...

"Today, we pause to honor the incredible life and accomplishments of Dr. King, who helped shape the Civil Rights Movement, gave hope to millions experiencing discrimination, and whose enduring memory inspires us to pursue a more just and equal society." — President Trump

Trump has acquired great wealth for himself and he is wise enough to know he's not taking it with him when he goes. He is not beholden to the "elite" government employees of Washington D.C. and the wealth they have accumulated for many decades. He would disenfranchise them from their "gravy train" and that is precisely why they hate him so desperately. John Smith battled the elite at Jamestown. Andrew Jackson battled the elite in Washington D.C. as did Ronald Reagan. This battle is as old as America. I equate the "haters" as the "Tories" of the 21st Century.

Dr. King never used "identity politics" to garner wealth and power to himself. Democrats today would oppose him for that reason.

No, they won't work with Trump. They can't do a 180-degree turn now and work with a President who they have tried to trash and destroy every single day throughout his first term.

I'm not at all trusting of polls this early in the game, but I have been checking with the "Betting Odds" site a couple times a week.

If the "gamblers" are correct, then Trump wins reelection, Dems keep the House, and Republicans keep the Senate.

If that happens, we'll have more of the same divisiveness in Washington for four years....and they will probably impeach him a second, or third, time. :(

I pray that after the Coup is put down....we take the House. I wouldn't have said that about Republicans 6 years ago, but this is a different era.

Hard working American deserve credit.....but things were pretty bleak 4 years ago when we had a President that said "You didn't build dat!" or when speaking of the loss of industry in the U.S. "This is the new normal, get used to it". "You think it's going to return like magic? Ha!" President Trump must be a magician.

That "you didn't build that" was directed toward the Tea party and their stop spending agenda, not wanting to invest in America...What ever happened to them anyway?

What did Trump do so magical? The economy is about the same as it was when Obama left.

    My pocketbook. I decide.

The "you didn't build dat" comment was directed at anyone with an entrepreneurial bone in their body. The T- Party has become all inclusive and Trump has redefined it. It includes everyone outside the globalist/elite circle. Trump has brought industry back to America through deregulation and tax incentive. When you say "invest in America" I believe you are saying "pay for more entitlements, and grow goverrnment".

The U.S spends more money on education than say Japan and we do a much inferior job. Teachers Unions and crooked professors see to that. What we need is Vouchers. Healthcare is not a right. It is a responsibility. Infrastructure should be up to bid by private contractors. Trump can do it all in half the time at a third of the cost. Makes bureaucrats mad when he smacks their hand and gets it out of the till.

Healthcare is not a right? Id like to think i can go outside and not have a healthcare epidemic on our hands..It boils down to national security if the whole country gets infected with the plague.

But i can agree that education funding needs to be managed better.

I don't care if he is just as self-centered and egotistical as Obama is/was. Trump is getting positive results.

    His latest Tweet....

It was exactly three years ago today, January 20, 2017, that I was sworn into office. So appropriate that today is also MLK jr DAY. African-American Unemployment is the LOWEST in the history of our Country, by far. Also, best Poverty, Youth, and Employment numbers, ever. Great!

Sure they are. Trump introduced the Opportunity Zones program, whereby wealthy investors get a tax break for investing their money into rebuilding the most impoverished zip codes in America.

Instead of taxing the "greedy rich" people by force, he encouraged them to voluntarily invest their wealth into the poorest communities. That is rather a brilliant plan. :clapping:

Its yet another way for his friends and family to dodge their tax burden https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...inistration-opportunity-zone-program-n1116716 https://itep.org/how-opportunity-zones-benefit-investors-and-promote-displacement/

    "
According to the Joint Committee on Taxation, opportunity zone tax incentives will cost around $1.5 billion per year during the first eight years that the provision is in place, with some of the revenue paid back in the later years as the deferred taxes come due. The estimated benefits from opportunity zones stem from the idea that providing a tax benefit to the rich should boost the economy of struggling communities, yet this analysis failed to consider lost revenue that could have been spent directly on investment in housing, education, transportation, and other government programs that help build infrastructure in low-income areas.

Even if the tax breaks drive some new investment into low-income areas, this does not guarantee that these investments will ultimately benefit low-income families within the opportunity zones. In fact, additional investment driven by opportunity zones could have the unintended effect of fueling higher real estate prices that serve to displace low-income citizens and businesses rather than benefit them."
