I don't get it, you cry about global warming and your largest (37%) exports is coal and petroleum..

Yes. Counting ublished papers do not means consensus. Any time you pick a group out of the total population, you have stacked the deck. If you are going to use that method, then they need a second survey showing that group is representative of the whole group. If you want an accurate survey, you ask he question, not cherry pick to get the answer you want.

They didn't like those survey results, so they decided to cloud the issue with some contrived results.

LOL.. Is it? So when the IPCC suggests that we return to 295 ppm CO2, and that, in fact, is real scarcity for CO2 and we can't feed ourselves, then what? It's simply ridiculous for you to suggest that the arbitrary number established as the "optimal" by the IPCC is in fact a sustainable target. You realize that millions died because of the cold and CO2 scarcity right? But sure, let's go with your way... not.

"High levels" is subjective, what is a high level, over 10%, less than a plurality?? Oh, and how many in the high levels are receiving grant monies from government and private enterprise to keep providing data and support for the notion of man-made-global-warming-climate-change? I suspect it's all of them.

According to the IPCC, and the rest of the climate alarmists, the climate of the entire planet was supposed to suspend itself at around the year 1880, and never warm or cool beyond that. The rise of the oceans was also supposed to suspend and essentially halt in place. Any change in anything would be the direct result of human induced CO2.

I have been a member of the American Physical Society. The consensus is closer to 99.9% that the burning of fossil fuels is causing an abnormal rise in global temperatures.

    Climate scientists are typically physicists.

I’m sure the Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard are all well aware of the effects of global warming as it has been altering the paths they take in the Arctic. Russia is even opening up a new port on its northern shores, which used to be iced over.

I asking them to get back to me when they can define a climate zone without referencing any meteorological data.

What is the difference in how much energy a CO2 molecule can absorb compared to N2? If there is no nitrogen in gasoline, how does it end up in car exhaust?

Except that the anecdotal expressions that any weather condition on the planet has been used by your side as just more proof of human-induced climate change.

Funny how benign weather in a region where no one is complaining, is never proof of anything, it's always the opposite.

In my region of the world we have had benign weather for almost two decades now. Summer temps no longer rise to the 100 degree mark. In the past, we used to always see a week or so with temps in the hundreds. I've also never had to water my grass during the past almost two decades. In the past everyone's grass in the city would burn out to a dead brown, including along the sides of highways, and in open fields. For the past two decades or so, no one waters their grass, and the open fields and such remain green all year long.

My point is, if the opposite were true, and we used to have green, and now it's all brown, that would be proof of human-induced climate change. the squeaky wheel is proof of man-made climate change, when the wheel does not squeak we conveniently pretend it's not so.

Gotta love progressive logic. Blood alcohol concentration causes intoxication. Intoxication causes impairment of reflex and motor function. Loss of reflex and motor functions cause automobile accidents. Consumption of alcohol raises blood alcohol concentration.

Drink up. Hit the road. Drinking doesn’t cause auto accidents.

80% of our atmosphere is nitrogen so any chemical reaction such as combustion that uses atmospheric air to complete the reaction is going to contain some nitrogen. By the way that doesn't answer the question I asked.

CO2 can hold more than 4 times as much energy as atmospheric air. Thus, more CO2, more energy, more energy, more heat, as heat is a measure of particle kinetic energy. How could you add CO2 and not warm the atmosphere?

Science does not ask, and has never asked.... anything of you. Science is only there to explain what is happening. How to deal with it, and if we want to deal with it, is up to politicians, technologists and the people. I think it's gotten hot enough for the people that the majority wants action. And the majority is not going to decrease, that I can assure you.

The fact that Rush tells us that what you see on thermometers isn't real does not make it so. But, again, neither you nor Rush (or whoever in the echo-chamber) you got this nonsense from, need to bother about this anymore. It has been explained to you enough times how temperature differences are collected and verified using multiple systems. If you didn't get it, you didn't get it. Now there is no more time to explain it to you.

See? This is exactly what I'm referring to. You read on some wingnut denialist web page that... not only climatologists, but all scientists, Science editors, reviewers ... and anybody related to science, are idiots incapable of measuring temperatures if not in the hundredths of degrees. And that they all conspire to hide the fact but... Aha! this wingnut denialist page you read just uncovered the conspiracy.

For 25 years I would go online, look through the thousands of studies and literature, and I would quote to you clear quotes, charts, graphs, evidence... that that scientists are not complete morons, as the webpage you read assumes. So you would then go back to your wingnut denialist page and grab another similar idiotic argument. Time you invest to copy-paste the absurd statement: 2 minutes or less. Time I invest in research to debunk it: 2 hours or more.

I say again: I'm done. We're all done. Now there is no need for you to understand science. It makes no difference. You missed the train, and it's not coming back for you. If you want to start researching on your own, you are more than welcome to do so. But be aware that understanding facts does require more intellectual effort than is required to copy-paste conspiracy theories.

Get to the root source of it all. It's got to be that distilling alcohol is what is causing the car accidents.

At least it's reality unlike global cooling, global warming, climate change or whatever else you may want to call your imaginary crisis.

Climate experts demand world leaders stop ‘walking away from the science’
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/01/20/dav...ders-to-listen-to-climate-change-science.html

DAVOS, Switzerland — Scientists and climate activists from around the world have called on policymakers and business leaders to urgently take action in line with the scientific consensus on the climate emergency.

Speaking at the launch of the ‘Unite Behind The Science’ campaign at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, climate change experts warned Monday that political inaction would not be acceptable.

“Scientists want to make clear that every single policy, business and investment decision worldwide must follow the path that gives the world a fighting chance of limiting global warming to 1.5ºC and lead to the most livable future possible,” organizers of the Unite Behind The Science campaign said in a statement.

If you are really really worried about CO2--------go out and plant a tree and get your friends to do the same.

This is easy, let's ban the use of all petroleum based products. No more coal plants, gasoline or diesel engines, power generating plants. We can try that here in the US and see how it goes.

Okay let's do the math here reduced to it lowest common denominator CO2 is 21 parts per 50000. Of the remainder 40000 parts are nitrogen 9500 are oxygen and the remaining 479 are various trace gases like water vapor, methane, various oxides of sulfur and other stuff. Sweating those 21 parts is like worrying about being struck by a tree branch while you're lost in the desert.
